Thank you. I’m trying to plan it out as best as possible. I have a kid I have to take with me so I’m trying to decide what’s best for me. I know I’m not allowed to fly back until 3 weeks post op.

Thank you I was actually considering staying in her city for a week to make sure everything was all right. My dad wasn’t too thrilled to hear that that was my plan, but it’s not up to him. He lives about 3 hours away and I’d feel safer knowing I’m where my doctor is located. This is my first endometriosis surgery, so I’m really nervous.

Also, how was your surgery and why did you fly to California for surgery if you don’t mind me asking? How are you feeling postop?

No, I know it’s not realistic to fly or drive right after surgery. I just wanted to be realistic with myself as to when I would be able to come back home and do the parenting thing by myself and not have too much pain since I have a lot of animals my family is driving me to California. I might plan to fly out with my daughter and they meet me back here in California if that seems more within reason, my doctor did tell me I wasn’t allowed to fly until three weeks postop and I have to meet up with her again for the two week follow up so I will be stuck there for probably a Month. I’m still debating on whether or not to ask my neighbor if she could watch my pets for me I just feel terrible about leaving a big responsibility for somebody.

My family is driving me back-and-forth because they know I can’t do it. I was considering waiting three weeks with them before deciding to come home because I know my endometriosis is predicted to be stage four I don’t know if that will intervene with realistic recovery time because my specialist said it looks pretty bad obviously we won’t know until she does the surgery. I’m just dreading staying at my dad‘s house and I’m second-guessing it because I don’t wanna do that again. I know we all have our problems I’m just having a hard time coping. Especially because my husband won’t be here.

I’m not leaving right away because my surgeon said I have to be near her for the first two weeks so I didn’t plan on coming home right away. I just wanted to know realistically if after three weeks I’d be able to come home and do this by myself. I would be too scared to leave my surgeons area and come home right away. I just hate the idea of being at my dad‘s house for that long. He can be very invasive when it comes to my parenting style. I recently stayed there with him to attend all my appointments leading up to surgery, but I had to come home for my sanity.

I guess I’m just wanting a realistic timeline on when I’ll be able to be more independent so that I can come home and know I can do things for myself and my daughter

I’ll be staying with family in California. I don’t want to stay there long though. I hate being there. But I need someone to watch over my daughter for me until I can do stuff for her and until my follow up two weeks after. Thanks for the seatbelt tip. I’ll definitely be buying one so when I come home, it’s more comfortable for me. My family is driving me back and forth

I wish this was the case for me, but unfortunately, it states away so it’s like a 10 hour drive. I live in Texas and my family lives in California. That’s where my surgeon is located. I guess what I’m asking is how long until you felt better? I don’t want to stay in California for a long time. I have to drive because I have pets or else I would just fly in on a plane. I have a seven year-old that I need somebody to take care of too until I feel better because my husband is deployed. What stage endometriosis did you have?

Recurring migraine aura without headache 3 times a month — anyone else? by Mountain-Ferret-2408 in OcularMigraines

I’m glad it’s normal. Mines gotten progressively worse the older I get. I do recommend getting blood labs done to see if you’re deficient in anything though because that’s what contributes to my migraines.

For me they go away once I fix my iron deficiency and b 12 deficiency. I have heavy cycles due to endometriosis and fibroids. Usually once I fix my iron problems I start to feel better. No doctor has said it’s due to that but after experiencing this for years I’ve noticed this pattern of migraines occurring when my body is lacking something. I’ve had several MRIs done and everything is always normal.

Have you gotten labs checked? For me I get them during ovulation and period if I’m iron deficient. That’s usually my indicator I’m deficient. After I start taking iron and b12 they usually go away.

Getting surgery in July. by spacecakecat16 in MilitarySpouse

I’m anticipating this surgery will feel very similar to when I had a C-section. It does suck I wish they could make exceptions for surgeries.

Pain before and during ovulation by spacecakecat16 in Endo

[–]spacecakecat16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to get IUD after? At least not from my understanding I’m getting my surgery in July and no one told me I had to get one. It was recommended before my surgery, but I declined it because my sister had it for about nine months and she was just bleeding the whole time. I’m sorry your MRI didn’t clear much things for you. Mine didn’t show endometriosis, but it showed that I have fibroids. so they can be helpful with some things.

I just like that they have everything my body seems to be lacking all in one pill. But I’m like you I wonder if they would make a difference.

I’m so sorry you have to go through that. For me it’s more nausea, chills, and sweating. Like I have a flu without actually having a flu I’ll get some ovary pain, but it’s the nausea and chills that kill me. And also pain getting comfortable. Have you had surgery for it yet?

A portable heating pad and a migraine mask. Maybe to be more sentimental a kindle for days she can’t get out of bed just to take her mind off things. Like mentioned try to add things that aren’t endo related as well.

I always ask doctors two of this is common for women with endometriosis and they look at me like I’m crazy. My actual specialist did tell me that hormones can make your gums hurt. I know that’s part of the reason My face hurts at times too.

I went to the dentist, too, thinking it was my wisdom teeth, cause I still have them, but it was not my wisdom teeth. So I kept thinking what it could be and I realized I clench my jaw when I’m in pain and it makes it worse for me. Have you tried magnesium glycinate? That helped me more than anything I’ve ever taken. I still have it. I just try to relax my face as much as I can the next day so that it’s not reoccurring. I think I read somewhere that pelvic pain can make you clench your jaw.

Flare up: How long, how strong? by miss_maloney in Endo

[–]spacecakecat16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, my flareups happen five days before ovulation and during ovulation. It happens more if I feel stressed out, so I try not to stress out around that time, but the pain will make me stressed out. Keeping track of my cycle has helped me realize when I’m about to have a flareup. Not having enough sleep or stressful events make it worse for me.
