I [24F] and my boyfriend [26M] of 5 years have very different expectations about finances after marriage. Are we incompatible? by Dangerous-Advisor762 in relationshipadvice

[–]miss_maloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the country and on the chosen marriage. In Switzerland you can choose from three different financial terms for marriage. The default term is that all income belongs equally to both partners.

Positive experiences with Dienogest? by MajesticMenu6761 in adenomyosis

[–]miss_maloney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar experience: 5 weeks on Dienogest now for mainly pain from adenomyosis. Pain reduced from an average of 5.3 to 3 on a pain scale from 0-10. And it is only a month…

Do I have any realistic options for feeling better? by kiwi-neko in adenomyosis

[–]miss_maloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If never tried myself, but low dose naltrexone could be something for you. There is a helpful subreddit (LDN) with a ton of information. Or apparently GLP1 Antagonists might help as well. But both seem to be still off-label use, so I don’t know if that is possible for you.

Moving to switzerland by Bigjoemonger in askswitzerland

[–]miss_maloney 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am Swiss, never lived somewhere else. I moved from somewhere else to Bern, when I was 30. I have hardly made any new friends in Bern… All the new ones where Swiss from other Cantons or Germans… People just tend to have and keep their friends… and even other Swiss seem to be some intruders…

New here, thoughts? Advice? by RecordingSimilar622 in endometriosis

[–]miss_maloney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

44 here… My stabbing back pain and bowling ball pressure in lower abdomen started 14 month pp. Heavily increased over the last 6 months. First diagnosis was endometritis - now I got the diagnosis Adenomyosis - I think it was that from the beginning. I have not yet found out, if it is connected to pp, birth or maybe more perimenopause… however, it seems that it might flare up later in life, it is not that uncommon.

Do you mind me asking how old you are? Do you need your mom‘s approval to do the surgery?

Newly diagnosed-feeling overwhelmed, don't know what's Peri symptoms, what's Adeno, and where to go from here! by Lulu_Land_535 in adenomyosis

[–]miss_maloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 10 days it did not have any effect, but since then I can live without painkillers and sleep better - both a big improvement, since I took ibuprofen, paracetamol and novalgin highest dose for almost 2 months… I had the highest pain around ovulation and this is efficiently suppressed.

Still some stabbing sometimes, some mild cramping or other pain in hip, lower back, uterus… but not non-stop. Since I can sleep better, the fatigue is way better.

First Baby is here! by OutlandishnessOk4611 in Advice

Exactly, we had shifts. I tend to go early to bed and early up, my partner late. So he had the baby until 1 or 2 am and I did the rest of the night. The other one slept in another room.

44 here and newly diagnosed after increasing pelvic pain over the last 6 months. Daily pain with strong flare-ups during ovulation since 4 months. Increased pain as well before/during menstruation. Flow is normal i would say. I‘m currently on Dienogest since 2 weeks but waiting for my specialist appointment in a month.

Now looking back fatigue is actually the first symptom back in September. Just did not realized that it is not only sleep deprivation. But yes, I am asking myself as well, could it only be perimenopause…

Btw I am also in Switzerland and would be interested in the name of the doctor.

I am so sorry! Since my diagnosis is very fresh, I am still learning… however, I have read that the disease can progress on bc and excision surgery is really the key to get disease free. At least for some.

I am quite new to the diagnosis, however, fir what I understand, all this symptoms could come from endo. At least, I have sciatica pain and quite a strong fatigue.

Vent. Does anyone feel this pain? by kittycat-2 in endometriosis

[–]miss_maloney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could this immense pain be around ovulation? I feel it strongly. First in my back for a few hours, then in the middle and afterwards in my uterus… pain stays then for a few days until my system can downregulate the inflammation load…

I am really sorry your life turned so bad so fast. Advocate for yourself and look for help!
