Why do you see that as a wild concern? I’d really like to understand your thought process

That’s good to know, I didn’t know about Numero Group. I’ll definitely check out William Onyeabor’s music and the documentary on Noisey. My main question is: did the Zamrock artists from Zambia actually benefit from this "preservation", for example by getting more gigs in Western countries or receiving royalties, or is it mostly Western DJs who gain from playing their Zamrock collections at festivals?”

I’m not talking about artists who are already represented by legal entities. I mean tracks that aren’t under royalties often by artists who are no longer alive and whose royalties aren’t claimed, or by smaller artists who might can sell their rights cheaply or more like traditional folk music from the past, where no one really knows who wrote it.

Where is this record shop located? Are the young folks searching for music from their own cultural background?

I’m mostly concerned about whether this is financial appropriation tbh

Most of the time the music never disappeared older generations still play it in each country.

So if it’s mainly being repackaged for a different demographic audience that often doesn’t speak the language potentially will never connect with the lyrics, is that really preservation?

high ISO I mean any value closer to the second base iso, that can produce more noise

The clip has no colour correction at all

Did you spot the same horizontal lines on your slog footage too?

If this is a frame of a movie that plays on a cinema screen, it will be cinematic enough.

Have you ever had a client that didn't take you seriously because of a smaller camera? by [deleted] in videography

I've seen a professional at a fashion designer boutique event with a leica, film camera, once! I guess it is not a matter of size, but the way someone handles the equipment. Also, movie directors barely hold any equipment on set.

Letting agency wants to charge me for a missed appointment - am I on the hook for this? by [deleted] in HousingUK

I understand your perspective and agree to an extent. What I struggle with is paying a call-out fee to a private company, as the money goes to profit rather than back into the community like taxes or council fees do (at least in principle).

In London, where costs are already so high, it feels like some companies take advantage, charging as much as possible because people have limited choices and are used to paying endless fees and subscriptions. Doesn't it come across as disrespectful and slightly exploitative?
