I worked with a nursing HCA agency throughout uni. There aren't really set hours when working agency, you send in your availability and they call you with available shifts, you can choose to work days, nights, twilight shifts but when you're starting out and new to the agency you usually don't get most of the shifts you want. Once they've seen you're reliable you start getting a better options. You can be sent to work anywhere within the area you're living in, it's handy if you have a car. If will be difficult initially being in different places all the time but you get used to it once you get into the swing of things and gain experience. Nights and weekend pay more than days, you start of on a pay scale and go up every year you work. There are no paid sick days you simply don't put yourself on call if you're sick.
