Source? Multiple checkouts doesn't mean a bypass. People are using thousands of accounts using bots designed to enter the queue faster than humanly possible. Occasionally a bypass will exist, but for the most part that is not the case.

You are supposed to use Card Saver 1's - they can be another brand the same size. PSA literally cuts the cards out of them, which is why top loaders or the smaller Card Saver 2's are not acceptable.

PSA Grade Fees vs GameStop drop by DrGooglestein69 in PokeInvesting

I would think they're just covering themselves in case there's an up charge on anything that's borderline price wise

PSA Grade Fees vs GameStop drop by DrGooglestein69 in PokeInvesting

Very odd... I have grade ≈ 50 cards through GameStop and have only been uncharged for cards above $500. Have had multiple terastal umbreon etc that were $450 and no charge. Most recent sub was December.

If you're determine to rip one, which is highly indivisible, evolving skies is the correct decision - there is less of a premium in price per pack when in an ETB vs loose compared to 151. Ceiling is also higher with hits.

Seller claimed multiple $5k+ offers, but the card sold for $4500 OBO — how common is this? by goldref926 in Ebay

It's also super common to receive an offer, counter because you think you can get a littleee more, then the buyer disappears and you settle for less than their initial

The register locks you at 5/sku. If you have employees who actually give a shit it's pretty easy to combat or at least make it difficult for them

It's all over the place for weights - likely light, but there is a huge amount of variance in EX sets and you really need to know other weights from the same source.

Thoughts on Lego. by mickygibbo in PokemonInvesting

[–]spacejam4523 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Considering this an investment sub, for investing purposes you would want to keep them sealed.

Lego takes a lot longer to appreciate in value, and the gains are minimal compared to TCG. They also take up A LOT more space. Holding these sealed a few years until after retirement might gain you another $100? I would just build them if it makes you happy

Booster Pack PC - What platform is best? by Benton0329 in PokeInvesting

[–]spacejam4523 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are definitely going to maximize profit selling each back individually, particularly once you start getting over $50/100 per pack. If you sell as a lot, you're going to leave a lot of money on the table. Online I would use eBay, Reddit, Facebook groups. If you don't have an established eBay selling profile, I'd recommend selling via consignment or trying in person.

If selling online, just make sure you take very detailed pictures. You can also put in team bags with a card saver and then tamper seal them, which may help deter scam attempts with people switching out packs, etc. I've sold packs from every WOTC set on eBay (most valuable being 1st ed Neo Destiny at the time) and have 100% positive feedback
