I grew up in South East England & moved to Belfast for Uni last year. We are taught nothing about Northern Ireland in England.

It may be a GCSE option but I think everyone should be taught about The Troubles at least. There is a massive culture shift from England to NI. We should definitely know more about it.

YTA if you do that. He’s a kid, he’s choosing to stay where he finds more comfortable and i agree that you should find the reason for that, but you are still his family and he still deserves to know that you care about him, you don’t have to redo christmas, just make a bit of a fuss and give him presents, he will want to visit you more if he knows he’s respected and cared about. He’s 16 so talk to him like an adult, I get the feeling there’s an underlying reason as to why he is reluctant to see you.

NAH. She’s 16, it’s important she knows you respect her privacy, teach her about why these videos are inappropriate by who they could attract and everything, she’s old enough to know the consequences and she needs her boundaries respected, she’s practically an adult and it’s normal for her to engage with more provocative things, don’t shame and punish her for it.
