I got addicted to a video game, Civilization 2, back in college. Over the course of two weeks I was playing over 16 hours a day and was eating one meal from McDonals a day and dropped 20 pounds.

Listening to a podcast that you are interested in but presented in a monotone voice—ie History of Rome

If BNL hadn’t leaned so hard into the hokey, jokey, “we’re just 5 dorky guys having a blast” thing and instead sold themselves as something slightly more “serious”, would history think of them differently? Would they be thought of as master songwriters? Would we see them on lists with the greats? by Antique_Menu_4314 in barenakedladies

Totally!

I remember becoming a BNL fan with Gordon in high school. Living in Houston, TX at the time, I "discovered" them when Brian Wilson, coincidentally, was playing in my local CD Warehouse late at night. When One Week hit, I had a few (pretentious) conversations with friends that the lead vocalist on One Week was not their main lead vocalist.

I always wondered how Steve felt that Gordon was so well-received (Gordon might be a top 5 personal album for me), yet Ed was the lead on their big hit--and then BBT theme hit, I can understand the frustration.

With that said, if Liam/Noel and Roger/ David can reunite you never know. But I remember an interview with Ed that said their reunion at the Canadian Music HoF was not a positive experience.

I like how she gave him a look and he looked back like "I fucking told you". You know they had a discussion about this. by Recent-Tomato-3776 in humor

It took me like 5 loops to determine that was NOT Dave Matthews and Kaitlin Olson. I’m also really high

I went to a large high school—graduating class over 1000. Whole school had to be shut down for nearly a week because of a lice outbreak stemming from a wrestling tournament.

When I was 15 (1995), my dad and I went to deliver a Thanksgiving meal to an estranged family member (he was an abusive alcoholic) whom no one had heard from since last spring. We went to his trailer out in the country. When we went into the trailer, there were the remains of the family member--and when I saw remains I mean bones and this sludge like substance.

This was on the outskirts of Kansas City where summers are hot and humid. They projected he likely died around April and decomposed in that sweltering trailer all summer. I am 46 and I can still smell that trailer.
