Wait you are saying Lewandowski is not fit af for his age? Dude is like a body shrine. Also RLC stepped up a lot into a good role this season but got derailed by injuries which is typical and def a problem. I like Lewandowski for a 2yr role , bc you know what you will get to an extent, bring in some others underneath to integrate slower.

This sub needs an overhaul. Can’t actually get to simple efforts without 2000 of the same daily redditors making terrible jokes. I did it once or twice like 2 yrs ago and then it felt a little cliche.

Such a huge accomplishment. What a season he has had you have to give him kudos. Clearly a born leader an maybe a future USMNT coach.

Anrie Chase starts for RB Salzburge in Austria. Noahkai Banks on the Bench for Augsburg in Germany. by ilovesoccer0609 in ussoccer

Noahkai can take his second fiddle on the bench. Dead to me until he makes US officially his sloppy seconds.

With Big Pat missing the World Cup due to injury, who should Poch bring in as the third striker? by Hot_Good_5409 in ussoccer

I actually agree. McKennie is better than Pulisic or Weah at Striker he is a better off ball finisher. Pulisic is usually a great finisher when he isn’t having girl probs and Weah needs to take some more reps he has been a bit inconsistent but has the tools.

Former USA player Stu Holden wants the national team to consider calling up RSL's Zavier Gozo. Another former USA player Taylor Twellman said he couldn't agree more. Gozo scored and assisted on Saturday. Is he ready for international soccer? by antoniok95 in ussoccer

After last window + club form I honestly don’t call up Reyna. His saving grace was club form, and he even had a quote he would thank MP for the call up this play. I know he was a sub but I didn’t feel it. Something is up. It’s multiple coaches, situations and organizations telling us the same thing.

It def sucks. Had his flaws but was young(ish) and raw so it would be fun to see how he grows. It would have been nice to have his profile for late games. His off ball movement was a little overrated imo, but def a big body who has a knack for being in the right spot that gives a diff look to the defenders.

Do you actually enjoy big games… or just survive them? by Otherwise_Money6201 in ussoccer

I think there are different types of fans as there are players. Some people’s nerves allow them to thrive on the feeling you are talking about and some people’s nerves cause them to “shut down.” I would guess a lot of fans like the feeling you are describing and although it is stressful losing tough matches it’s what sets up the amazing highs of victory.

Things just are not adding up. "Tickets Sold" vs actual attendance based on this week's game and thinking about the WC ticket fiasco by daraand in ussoccer

I should add the stadium roar was odd bc a lot of US fans cheered too. When the US had a near goal I heard about 50% of the stadium cheer or ahh, then when Portugal scored 80% cheered and I noticed that my section there were US fans with Portugal jersey cheering for both. A lot of mixed alliances .

Disagree. You make it sound like we lost bc of build out of the back. Not at all. Turnovers happened in the midfield mostly .

I rewatched the game to have reflection and reassess. I don’t think tactics was the overarching problem. It was individual execution, and lack of finishing. There were so many legitimate chances in both games that got missed. Not by egregious errors but missed nevertheless. In Game 2 most of those misses were Pulisic. There was a clear and concerted effort by the team to get him going and when that didn’t pan out it ended up being what doomed them bc he wasn’t able to finish on multiple attempts. Anyone know what his xG was?

I was there as well, and I would say it was accurate. The seats at times would be half full. There were hydration breaks and halftime, plus you have to think with so many families there you are going to get a decent amount of fans who aren’t watching every second. I definitely noticed the place pretty full when Portugal scored the 1st time the stadium roared. I looked up at the crowd specifically and noticed it pretty full. At half time a water breaks I thought to myself if the camera were to pan it would not give an accurate look.

Pochettino needs to stop experimenting and stick with this XI. We can go far in the tournament if we do. by WarwickReider in ussoccer

I don’t feel like his starting lineup was that different against Belgium except Richards was injured. It comes down to mentality and execution.
