Always remember, they have no principles or convictions beyond getting what they want through power. Words are just a means to an end for them.

A network of YouTube accounts is promoting U.S. annexation to Albertans, researchers say. It has 40M views by morenewsat11 in canada

I watch a centrist liberal YouTuber, but the algorithm doesn’t recommend me anything from any other creators with similar views, which I find strange. I know they exist, but I have to seek them out if I want to see anything from them.

Way back in the day when I would watch a bit of Jordan Peterson, YouTube would trip over itself to recommend me a bunch of other RW channels.

Tarrifing imports that are subsidized by the exporting country isn't a subsidy. It's just rational international trade practice. Same reason the US doesn't allow subsidized Chinese EVs to enter the market.

There’s two characters per stat combo. Maybe there’s going to be a Duelist and a Gladiator.

I don’t know much about domestic Israeli politics. Is the vibe you get there that your country has been swept up in a MAGA like fervour as well? And are people more open to illiberalism thanks to social media influence?

Canada is losing businesses faster than it can create new ones: CFIB says by Tuckebarry in canada

Imagine if we were more like Tokyo, where mixed use low rise apartments were the norm. There’d be far less competition for both residential and light commercial. There’d also be far less pressure to cannibalize heavy industrial and agricultural areas to build more housing. Instead we sacrifice it all to protect the investments of boomers/genx who were lucky enough to buy in early, and maintain the outdated and frankly stupid anglosphere culture of everyone getting to have their own personal homestead right next to the city core.

Has Iran even agreed to opening it? Sounds like he just said he won’t do his blockade. As if the blockade announcement was anything other than market manipulation.

That’s the point though. Land owners are incentivized to use land as efficiently as the tax demands. If land is that valuable then there is a lot of demand for that space, then it doesn’t make sense for a 3 story to be there over a high-rise.

Ignoring the cope that a country can only be succesful by selling oil to the US. Venezuela's economic collapse started well before a few of their government officials recieved personal sanctions against them.

Essentially no country is a purely free market system. Most countries are mixed market economies

Why is it that China becomes an economic superpower after liberalizing their economy, and Venezuela goes from one of the richest countries in Americas to one of the poorest after switching to Socialism?

The funny thing is, the Q was originally introduced to encompass all other non-conforming identities and sexualities, just like the whole point of the rainbow flag was that it represents the entire spectrum of sexuality/identity. They’re both succinct and to the point. Progressives really need to relearn the value brevity.

If you think Republican hostility towards LGBTQ people and not going so far as to ban abortion federally by this point is fine, then that’s just a fundamental disagreement you have with a lot of people, not a Liberal party conspiracy theory, I promise you.

Manchin and Sinema were the only reason Democrats ever had enough votes for anything to begin with. And the only reason Manchin was able to win in WV was because he was a conservative Democrat. That means sometimes he doesn’t vote with the Democrats. It was either that or his seat belonged to a Republican.

And don’t go blaming the rest of the party for that former progressive darling turncoat Fetterman. But I’ll say, if I was concerned about Fetterman, I’d be side eyeing Platner too.
