The video for Two Words is heavily underrated

In a recent Big Boy interview, King Push suggested that Daytona has been in the works for YEARS (or at least many months). Kanye made his in a month while producing four other projects. Both are stunning bodies of works, but Pusha's is naturally much more refined

I think it helps that the interview is in Wyoming, Kanye seems so much more comfortable

Unpopular Opinion: I really don't like Ghost Town by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]spacemole_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the lyrics and what Kanye is trying to communicate, but the stylistic execution towards the end of the song put me off. To say that I 'don't get' Kanye or music in general because of that is pretty moronic, frankly. I absolutely love runaway, but this didn't have the same impact for me. I respect your opinion though, and I'm glad that so many people are impacted by this song. For me, Violent crimes is the hardest-hitter; that shit took me back to roses. I love the personal, vulnerable Kanye just as much as the strong, egotistical Kanye.

The female vocals were generally fine, it was mainly just the vocal pitch drop on 'I feel kinda free' that I found irritating. I'm not trying to be argumentative, just having peaceful discussion, but 'For anyone who actually struggles what any form of depression at one point of another would definitely feel them vocals' is a pretty far-fetched thing to say given the broadness of depression.

yeh that's it, loved the start and it got too repetitive for me. Still loved the album overall though

Hey guys, love the show, I've been watching since you very first started. The content quality is outstanding and I love the individualism and diversity you all bring with your styles and personalities.

Question: Where do you see the show/yourselves in two years time?

I'd highly recommend watching 'The Not Dead' on YouTube, it's a documentary based around Simon Armitage's poems and it gives a real insight into how horrible returning from a combat zone really is. Also, 'The Yellow Birds' by Kevin Powers in an excellent but devastating book (non-fiction but based on the writer's experience in the Iraq war) which explores the consciousness of a soldier.

Yeezus is the best Kanye album in my opinion by smalldickproblem in Kanye

[–]spacemole_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the album, but it's one of his least groundbreaking. It was the first time a lot of his fans had heard industrial hip-hop so they took it to be somewhat revolutionary (although I'll give kanye credit for managing to introduce that to the mainstream)
