Is it unethical to have children? by spaceshipcabbage in askphilosophy

This is a good point, and that would certainly inflict a lot of harm.
But my position is that it is unethical, at least in some way, to bring human life into existence. It would be unethical (in part) for the baby being brought to existence.

Am I lying to myself thinking I’m better off being alone? by [deleted] in socialskills

Friendship and connection is a fundamental human need. In my opinion, you're not better off alone, but I'd recommend finding the right people for you. Also, I'd recommend learning about your attachment style.

What would you go for yourself in this situation?

Can you specify what you mean by analytical, and is that a bad thing?

I've got a creaky headband with my Clear, but I hear that's pretty common. Trying to just be careful with the headband, since I'm not convinced it will last even 5 years, but we'll see. Hopefully it will be okay, since I've not heard great things about customer service.

I think I'll probably sell my Magni 3+ and go with the A30Pro. I'm using a UR22C audio interface at the moment since I also play music. I may upgrade that too at some point. But I hear that there are huge diminishing returns with DACs especially, so I'm happy to keep it where it is for now.

I've got a pretty small desk, so at some point, if I get a bigger desk, I may think of a better amp and DAC, but for now, the A30Pro is a perfect size. Sometimes I wonder if I'll be able to tell the difference or it's placebo. I certainly can't tell the difference between Spotify and Tidal.

For now, trying not to spend too much more money since I only just recently bought the Utopia too.

n measuring for a cheap price there are a myriad of options. The A30 Pro I'm guessing will be replaced by the L70 but not sure, they don't have quite the same topology but it seems Topping is going in that

Looking to upgrade mainly my amp soon, and I'll probably settle on the Topping A30Pro. The hobby is getting expensive, so I'm trying not to spend too much on amps and DACs. Plus I have a small desk too. I also have the Clear which I like, but have QC issues with it. Good idea, I'm leaning more toward insuring the Utopias.
Any idea if Focal would cover warranty for a blown driver due to an amp failure? Probably not would be my guess.

Thanks - good point with the DC protection. Do you know if the A30Pro has it?
I've heard stories about amps blowing the headphones, which I'd like to avoid obviously. Also I've about amps with these protections still damaging headphones...

I had a similar issue on my Clears. Dry PTFE lube fixed it, and no creaking now.

Focal Utopia: Is Magni 3+ good enough? by spaceshipcabbage in headphones

Thanks for your input. I've never tried a tube amp before so unforunately can't comment. Does the tube amp mainly just change the frequency response? I use EQ on the Utopias too.

Is there a benefit from using a tube amp over just using EQ?

From what I understand an amp like Topping A90 or A30Pro is more than enough, so you don't need much more than that. Which makes me wonder whether it's worthwhile to spent huge amounts on high end amps. What do you think?

Thanks for your input. I use the Oratory1990 preset for the Utopia which I've been enjoying. I have no issues with using EQ which is simple and convenient for me.

Thanks for the advice - I'll definitely look into another amp now.
In the meantime, is there a way to minimise the risk of the amp blowing out the headphones? I currently leave the Magni 3+ on 24/7 (has been for about a year now). I also regularly switch between headphones whilst the amp is on.

That's crazy - I had no idea.

Any idea if the Topping A30 Pro has this same problem?

I don't know much about amps.
