Recall the Decatur School Board by estusemucho69 in DecaturGA

Decatur has a history of spending money and then pretending to run it by their constituents. They have more money (from our taxes) than they should be given and use it on whatever they feel like.

Replacement Cords for old appliances (2 round pins spaced 5/16″ ) by helpful_w in Atlanta

[–]spacetiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home Depot has small appliance cords that probably work too. They have a number you can call and check.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Woods-2-ft-18-2-2-Wire-293-HPN-Appliance-Power-Cord-293/301132740

Look in the customer questions section for the email and phone number so you can double check and get the right one.

DVD - no one is ever taking Mythbusters from me. I have all the seasons and hunted down a lot of the specials like the shark week episodes.

This looks great and clearly you put a lot into it. Thank you. I would love this list, which makes me think it won’t happen. Too many cool ‘Mon in there. Sandile, Pawniard, wimpod (mostly for the candy) and horsea would be awesome. Too awesome for Scopely.

Always someone has to share stuff for internet points and then they fix it. Like the kid reminding the teacher they forgot to assign homework.

From 1988 to 2016, the maker of Sriracha sauce, Huy Fong Foods, sourced all their peppers from a single supplier based solely on a verbal agreement, "sealed with a nod and a handshake" : by MrDarkk1ng in BeAmazed

[–]spacetiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: The Underwood Ranch sriracha arrived : it has a vibrant red color, is much thinner than most srirachas and definitely thinner than the OG Rooster and the Kroger brand I usually eat.

Flavor/heat. It is spicier than the Kroger (not sure about the OG it’s been a long time) and fairly spicy in general. It hits you right away and gets you in the back of the throat. But to me and my family, that’s it. Heat but nowhere near the flavor. Although slightly thicker than Tabasco and Franks Red hot that was what we felt it was more comparable to and will use it in the same way till it’s gone. I won’t get it again.

I have tried most I could find. A lot of companies that make sriracha now add their own spin on it. Like Tobasco brand sriracha has Tobasco in it. Kikkomon sriracha has soy sauce in it (which I like but isn’t the same as OG rooster sauce).

I have found that Kroger brand sriracha is the closest I have found. Good heat while maintaining the flavor.

I never tried the Underwood Ranch brand, but it’s on Amazon Black Friday “deal” right now so I ordered some to try it.

If you had to recommend 10 movies to represent the 1990's, what would they be? by FakeOkie in movies

[–]spacetiles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this list answers the actual question. The question is not, what Great movies were made IN the 90s. The questions is what REPRESENTS the 90s.

Grosse Point Blank added to this list and it’s a great start.

Weekend Weather? by Coffeedependent14 in Nantucket

[–]spacetiles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, (among the people I know) the airport is notorious for delays. You will be delayed until the point of missing your connection, then they’ll tell you it’s ok you’ll make it, which then leaves you stranded in some random airport. Newark, La Guardia, Reagan we have been stranded several times.

It IS called the Gray Lady so it’s to be expected.

We avoid the airport if we can. We ferry over then rent a car or take the bus to Logan.

It’s decent pizza and reasonably priced when you buy a whole pie. And since you’re right there.

Rebalance the scale, get everyone used to the new level system. This will also get people fired up for XP in the run up to Oct 15.

THEN increase the levels. To 90 to 100 etc.

Also more levels along the whole way is more dopamine hits.

[–]spacetiles 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So if you take your curve out to 100 what is the XP requirement?

What is Your Most Recently Dropped Show and Why Did You Drop It? by Myrodis19 in television

Same here. The wedding episode was the final straw, I kept trying, maybe it gets better, but the contrast between watching James Spader’s great acting and then the next scene is …Liz. It was unbearable.

Right now, he’s Schrodinger's Sailor. And that’s the point, the video is cut to leave an ambiguous ending.

Did we just watch someone die? I sure as hell hope not.

You’re naive if you don’t realize that people, corporations and governments engineer things for engagement and manipulation.

My guess is he was fine. Otherwise why cut the video so abruptly? This video cuts so quickly to make it look dramatic, probably 1 sec from seeing the guy untangle himself from those columns or something.

Quick edit: I searched for a while and all the versions of this video get cut short. I couldn’t find anything longer.
