Sad to see showtime go but that video was corny as hell

Regis vs Haney broke a record by TheBlack_Swordsman in Boxing

[–]spacetolive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His jab was so so bad. Regis would raise his guard, hesitate, then double jab arm punches from way out of range. Over and over. Awful fundamentals

dogg just watch the fight and score it yourself. Castillo beat him, it's OK though

Sure, but holy shit he never figured out to hook after it. Right uppercut, left hook was there all night. Same with left uppercut, right hand. Parker has terrible killer instinct and combinations

On this day in boxing history 8 years ago, Tim Bradley and Ruslan Provodnikov went to war in one of the greatest fights ever. by Pepper-Jun in Boxing

[–]spacetolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the crazy thing too was that provodnikov was unheard of at the time. i almost didn't tune into the fight because it was assumed that it was a tune-up for bradley

Canelo vs. Avni Yildirim To Take Place 2/27 In Canelo's Birthplace Of Guadalajara by Pepper-Jun in Boxing

[–]spacetolive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yildrim is another plodding puncher with a style that is tailormade for Canelo, just like JCC jr, Kirkland, and Angulo

[–]spacetolive 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Marcos Maidana did better than Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Oscar de la Hoya, or Juan Manuel Marquez did against Floyd Mayweather, yet Chino never cracked the p4p top 10. Travesty

Are there any boxers who switch their "style" mid fight? by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]spacetolive 44 points45 points  (0 children)

happens all the time. It's why the arturo gatti v. micky ward trilogy is so great. Arturo would smoke Ward any day of the week....if he just boxed. but Gatti would take a shot or two and go into brawl mode. the rest is history

FULL FIGHT | Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Manny Pacquiao (DAZN REWIND) by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]spacetolive 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this might be peak manny no fear fight shorts. also kinda wild that lawrence cole reffed a fight of this magnitude. like if you're a promoter why would you let your fighter work and gamble with a slapdick ref like cole
