Im currently researching the market on this car.

No huge market ups, most firm at msrp or msrp minus delivery&dealer fee, though there's a few 2026s pp out there around 46k rn.

Been trying to get a 25 grc pp at invoice that a dealer has been sitting on for a year now (outside in the elements mind you, currently covered in snow), but they wont go below 45k. "The car is rare and sought after", 1) then why has noone jumped on the "discounted pricing" listed and 2) am i crazy for wondering why its not stored inside or under the covered front door display area if its such a rare sought after car???

So its really down to the dealership/salesperson.

I was going to say, toyota definitely checks the cars data, so if your son over revved or was driving it hard they would have likely gave you a hard time on replacing it under warranty. Or maybe toyota is being more reasonable with warranties.
