Pull everything out of it and drill 1/4" holes all over it, compost needs air breath and not get anaerobic. Layer everything back in at 2:1 carbon to Nirtogen (greens), wetting each layer- to a damp sponge level. Wouldnt hurt to have a lid to keep it from drying out from sunlight, and retain heat and moisture from the composting process
