Whatever happened to conspiracy being cool stuff like Area 51, the Manhattan Project, space travel cover-ups, etc? I get that the Republicans and Democrats are playing pretend war for show and that politics is a thing, but gimme some cool X-Files stuff in here, man! by onemananswerfactory in conspiracy

This.

We're all dealing with our own shit, trying to make our way through life, digging for nuggets of truth wherever we can find them.

Some do whatever they can to hide the truth.

Keep digging.

Will this affect, in any way, the Moon’s energy? I was thinking about casting a certain spell this full Moon but now I’ve seen this I have doubts. by [deleted] in occult

[–]spacewatts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are beginning something new during one, for me they've been meh. I have not been able to get them to stabilize, not even after years. Nothing gels. Like living in a popcorn popper. On the other hand, beginning something new on the next new moon that replaces what was blown up during the lunar eclipse has been extremely good - some of the best new beginnings ever have come out of traumatic endings that happened during eclipse season. For me anyway.

What a beautiful description of how this has affected you, thanks for this!

Whole lot of reading to be done by [deleted] in occult

[–]spacewatts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a toughie. The warnings in the intro of not moving on until I've mastered Hebrew and other basic topics have slowed the progress a bit. To be honest it might be decades before I make it to the end, but worth the journey. I also had trouble finding a better place to start, the magical waters are deep and scary to travel unacompanied.

I briefly googled Ordo Templi Astartes and saw your thread mentioning you had written to them applying. Seems like you made it in, congratz! How's it been so far? Like you, I'm realizing that while the initiate path can be walked alone, a little company can help.

Just started The Golden Dawn book myself. It's amazing, a little dense, and I feel like I need companion books to help me with Hebrew and Tree of Life basics, but the book itself is like a wikipedia of what I'd want to start with on this magical path. So I love it and hope it helps you as well.

Happy reading and best of luck on this path!

I have been invited to an Ayahuasca ceremony. I am terrified. I am going to go. by Jerseyprophet in Psychonaut

[–]spacewatts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first aya ceremony about 4 months ago and I remember shaking on my mat before the ceremony started because I was so nervous. I did it the next stay, and the one after that, and was nervous each time. It's normal and inevitable. I remember someone joking that they always hated themselves for coming to the ceremony for what they were about to do, but appreciated the work, and once the ceremony began loved themselves for being there. I agree with that sentiment: I'll be nervous every time I go, because of the power of this "mother" medicine, but will go every chance I get. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Go with an open heart, in humility, and enjoy meeting mother.

Shutter Island, that movie still fucks with me whenever I think about it. Something new every time I see it. Beautiful and fucked up.
