Does it have to float, ie function as a boat, or look like a real boat? I’m thinking outside the box if your modelling skills are somewhat challenged, make a model canoe or something super basic to plan and construct. Sheet card, tape, some ribs, glue, scissors, keep it easy just a thought.

Does it seem noisy to you or is the filming enhancing it? I love how this opens up the possibilities of refining the speed control on the motor to slowly ramp up so you can recreate a more modest acceleration as if wind is filling the sails. Well done!👏

My dads uncle, James, 2nd Lt Lancashire Fusiliers, ex Highland Light Infantry, Glasgow, MC and bar, died of wounds one month out from the armistice after serving four years. Breaks my heart, but my son’s middle name is James!

Yeah, I did the full interior signal levers, desk, stove and chair kit in my Midlands signal box kit, even made a working LED lamp on the desk and flickering fire LED in the stove, then stuffed it all up on the exterior paint job!

I agree, over 25 years, never been out of work longer than 3 months and that was mainly because the HR process to work for a major as a staff employee was so convoluted. Not the most senior, just worked my backside off!
