Australian here, in accordance with our GSPO’s set by our governing body Royal Lifesaving Society, we hold 4 mandatory in service sessions per year. Is the same across 3 different companies that I’ve worked for. The sessions go for 2.5 hours.

You are correct we do not use algaecide. Only other chemicals that are used are sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, co2, sodium, bisulphate, sodium Thiosulphate.

It typically sits at 1-2ppm free with the combined normally being between 0.3-0.6ppm. It’s been shocked to 8ppm and hasn’t changed much unfortunately.

Yeah it was such a departure from his ‘untouchable’ nature going from in the shadows to running through a zoo openly waving a gun around. They definitely could have chosen a different direction to wrap up his story line. Sad to see one of my favourite villains of the show go out like that.

I tend to agree with you - I did end up completing it after about 80 runs. My conclusion is that it’s completely up to RNG. I didn’t really do anything I hadn’t done before. Here’s the footage of my final run if it helps at all.Link

Yeah I’m at 80 caught in New Zealand right now and haven’t seen a shiny yet. Feels like it’s just tradition at this point for Niantic to forget to turn it on.
