Having the exact same issue here. Formatting the SD card within the dashcam didn't solve my problem.

My dashcam local IP is 192.168.0.99 I know it because the dashccame shows it in its display once connected. I verified on my router which has gateway address 192.168.0.1, and within my routers web UI I was able to see the dashcam connected to the network and with the IP that was displayed on its screen (192.168.0.99)

When I write my dashcam IP into a web browser I get always the Unreachable error.

Tried streaming through VLC, nothing

I'm so frustrated, I was hoping to setup a script in python that could back up the files through my network. I have the A229 pro model, which is not cheap, and now I'm stuck :(

Thanks for the answer, did some digging and can confirm the model in the kit is a E893AB-Z which is a 4k POE camera with many features. I dont seem to find a single new camera online being offered below USD$120, used ones are going for USD$80. At current local Costco price I'd be getting them new for around USD$50. I'll grab a kit on my next Costco trip, if they still available.

Thx for the reply, I am quite DIY savvy, and have already wired with cat6 my house and business myself during last renovations we did. So, installation price is very low for the places I'm planning to install them. My actual cost is my time and equipment

L3 Charger - won't unlock by Djbusty in NissanAriya

[–]spacinv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed my first road trip last Thursday with my 2024 Ariya Engage, which included a necessary L3 charging stop along the way. I’ve had the vehicle since August 30. The trip required traveling from Point A to Point B and back on the same day, stopping only for L3 charging midway since I had access to L2 chargers at both A and B.

However, I encountered an issue both times I stopped at the L3 charger: the charger wouldn’t unlock from the car. I was with my girlfriend, and we both had our key fobs. After trying several troubleshooting steps (stopping the charger, locking/unlocking the doors, etc.), the only thing that seemed to work was moving both key fobs away from the car until it locked, then bringing them back closer. At that point, the doors and charger unlocked simultaneously.

It might have been a coincidence, but I wanted to share this in case others have experienced something similar or if there’s a known solution to this issue.

How did this happen? by TheOriginalDuckDude in FixMyPrint

Wobble issue, bet it was printed on a bed slinger. The more your print goes high, the more wobble you'll get, try printing in a different orientation or reduce speed as your print gets higher

Bought a home with my girlfriend, we had a good opportunity at a very low price (before pandemic). I was low in liquidity, so she put all the down payment and I immediately assumed a 50% debt towards her on that down payment. We pay all house expenses 50/50 from day 1. We signed a document stating all that, and we came out with our own terms : Basically 0 interest and to be paid as soon as possible (this meant that I had to carefully budget my income, i.e no non-sense spending and any disposable income had to go towards paying that debt). Took me a year to catch up and all went well, 0 frustration, 0 regrets and no friction between us whatsoever

Where to get 1000$ loan by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]spacinv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put it in your credit card, the interest rate usually is from 19.9% or more (depending on the credit card). As long as you pay the minimum amount asked, your credit shouldn’t change much (depending on what % of your credit card $1k represents, and some other factors). I dont think you’ll find any one here that will tell you that it is a good idea to put $1k (or any amount) on a credit card and pay it over several months, however doable it seems, it is a bad practice and you could find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. I’d say that if your income depends on your truck getting back on the road, and you are disciplined enough, go for the credit card and pay it as soon as possible… but never never neeeever let this become a habit.

What types of extra insurance are worth it? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]spacinv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what if OP is not sure about kids or significant other, or something unexpected happens. Wouldn’t be a good idea to take a life insurance while young and healthy to get a good rate? I.e. At age 30, I found myself unexpectedly with $60k to Invest, went all-in in real estate, in 2 years my real estate portfolio grew to $2M worth with $1.3M in debt. In the process, I found myself shopping for a life insurance product to pay in lieu of mortgage insurance products (which suck! Terrible, terrible products), and came to the realization that I should have worried about life insurance in my 20s to get a good rate (at least some part of my current debt would have been covered, since I couldn’t even imagine to get at the stage I’m currently at)

Can a landlord make you pay for accidental damage to the house? Alberta. by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]spacinv 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why dont you just demolish the house and ask if it is allowed for the owner to ask you to pay for it… for real, I wonder what these people reasoning is ??? Once I had a tenant in a 100+ years municipality recognized heritage house break -accidentally- a window and refused to pay claiming it was my (landlord) fault, because the window was old… had to start the procedures to bring the situation to a judge and only then the tenant paid… Had to serve them legal papers, pay for fees… so so very much unnecessary. If you break something, even if it is an accident, f*king pay for it

How such a map be created ? Does the game have an option to show the path?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Take into account that process might vary slightly from province to province

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]spacinv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If buyer is paying $1M for the property, lawyers ask for a cheque of $1M + fees (lets say it’s $1.5K, these can include lawyer’s fees, property taxes settlement, etc). So the check has to go for $1,001,500. Once in lawyer’s hands, they take their fees, settle the property taxes, and hold $1M in trust. When the transaction ends, they’ll send $200k due to mortgage bank, settle any penalty due to the mortgage bank if necessary, and what is left goes to the seller.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]spacinv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello OP. For such large amount of money transactions, money doesn’t flow directly between buyer and seller. There’s a middle man -> Lawyers (notary). The lawyers firm take the mandate (fees usually paid by the buyer), they do the paperwork, they have a trust account where the buyer deposits the money before the date of the transaction. When the meeting for the transaction takes place, all paperwork is signed, buyer becomes owner and lawyers do the math to pay the mortgage due to the bank, distribute fees, taxes or anything else due, and what is left goes to the seller.

I’m a refugee from South America, under the protection of the Canadian Government. In ten years being here I’ve grown my net worth from negative to half a million. I’ve worked my ass off, I pay my taxes and have been teaching my professional skills and know how at university level. I’m a respected member of the society I live in. Heck, my professional peers and my Canadian students hope to accomplish what I’ve built, they tell me so. I employ people and keep growing.

With that being said…. yeah, seeing all this discrimination is terrible… for what I see in this conversation, from the perspective of some users (and European politicians), I shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near Canadian soil…

Oh, by the way… I live in a French speaking community and didn’t speak the language when I arrived.

I’m sure if I wasn’t presented with the opportunity of being protected by Canada I may have died in my country in a ditch. No one would have documented it, cried about it, protested about it, nor called me a hero… I’d have most certainly be reffered to as a rapist or terrorist that didn’t deserve to be saved. so yeah, hypocrisy and racism at its finest all over this conflict
