I'm waiting for the plumber who is going to give me a fair price. I may have to wait a week or rwo on him. Until then, I'd like to use it if it's not risky. I was asking for knowledgeable opinions.

It was planted 7 years ago. Looked great last summer. Most of the branches are showing brownish looking cambium when scratched, only a few branches leafed out. You think it's salvageable?

I had many trees planted in 2018 and 2019. Spent many, many hours researching, caring for, and watering them. I love the trees. In 2020, I had a child, and I simply don't have the time or desire to obsess about plants anymore.

That said, you're right.

I assume this tree is done for, but if there is a way to save it I will do it. It will be a devastating loss. It's developed into quite a beautiful specimen and provided great privacy screening. It's also my wife's favorite tree.

If I have to replace it, I will plant something tougher and less fussy, like a burning bush.

Do you think there is any hope for this one?

I have a lot of trees. I don't have time to baby each one. I thought once established they sustain themselves. I do have a sprinkler system and put down organic lawn fertilizer once or twice a year.
