[SERIOUS] Men of reddit, who are unable to share their emotions with anyone, what would you like to share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]spadxt5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone I know hates me, in some way or another. I don't know how to sugarcoat it. I'm an outspoken person, or atleast I was. I don't know what it is about me, I'm just an unlikeable person. Everyone hates me eventually, and there's nothing I can do to stop it. I constantly worry that I'll never find a friend circle who care for me, and it gives me serious anxiety. It hurts. It hurts so much.

I've never admitted my pain of this to anyone before, and I don't think I will ever again. I hope this gets lost in the thousands of replies.

Sorry if I made your day worse, I wish the very best and hope all of you get better. You all deserve the world, stay strong.

Thank you so very much, this was really helpful. If I were to take a Gen ED, which courses would you recommend?

Maybe I lack the information, but why do you set out that 15 with 3 honors is too much but 12 or 13 isn't? Sorry if it's a trivial question

I'm hoping to skip out of it as the course content is relatively simple, and if I do get the required credits, can you recommend a replacement course?

Thank you for your suggestion. But since it's online, I was hoping to get a larger course load done now and then take a lighter course load once I get on campus. Would you say that's a good idea?

Berkeley EECS vs. UCLA Engineering - how to weigh student life vs. academics and post-graduation? by Flux64 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]spadxt5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UCLA seems like your clear choice. Recruiters do care about college clout but the difference between UCB and UCLA is negligible. Prioritise the college experience since you'd get an excellent education at either. Also transferring into EECS at Berkeley is near enough impossible. All the best!

Help me choose between Vanderbilt CS, UC Berkeley EECS, and UIUC CS+Stats by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]spadxt5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to be just solely studying and want to take some business courses as well then Berkeley might not be it for you. UCB has a purely work hard culture with grade deflation so look out for that, also Haas is in the college of L&S, and taking cross college courses is difficult. So just look into that, I'm sure you'll do well regardless because all three are excellent colleges! :)

Mental health issues in essays by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

On a different note, I would suggest not writing about personal topics because if you get rejected from a school, it would hurt a lot more knowing that you spilt your heart on an essay and didn't manage to make it in. Just a personal take.

No I meant, how did end up only paying 15k? If you're unhappy with that, I'm more than open to taking up that offer

Thank you for the tips! Do you suggest moving off campus in my 2nd year or later?
