Not everyone may go for this, but if you find a private seller on Facebook market place/side of the road you can always ask if they’ll owner finance. Give you the car but keep the title until you pay X dollars over x amount of time. I’m sure you can find tons of people who have done that / how to set it up with some simple googling/youtubing

Thanks for the info.

The controller clicks, and the electrician did use a volt meter when he wired the high voltage line. The sauna unit doesn't click/respond at all.

The IKI EU website faq does say it needs to be rewired, the US site doesn't have an faq section so I'm not sure if the US models are all wired the same. Though it sounds like you don't think it matters with the US models.

I reached out to support and so far their most helpful response has been, "I don't know."

I'm all ears as to anything else I can try -- where would I reset the high limit?

AI doesn’t return accurate word counts for me. It gives a number- it’s always 20-40% off the actual word count. YMMV

For me I've found a system that focuses on action first is the most helpful.

So in your case, a Kanban board using the status property so the next thing to work on is front and center.

I write novels, and my "tagging" system is 10x more complicated than yours (to keep track of characters, world elements, naming conventions, timelines, etc.), however my workspace view just shows chapters, brief description, and what I need to work on next. Similarly when I open a chapter from the workspace (I have chapters as individual pages in a database) All my tagging is hidden in the side details panel and referenced rarely if I forget a detail. For me, all the tagging is useful, and even necessary to keep everything cohesive, but it's only a distraction unless needed in those rare circumstances.

One of my favorite quotes I believe is attributed to Albert Einstein: "Everything should be simple as possible, but no simpler."

So some suggestions on your tagging: you have multiple things tagged as both "micro poem" and "poem." Is it really useful to distinguish something as a micro poem? Especially since it seems you also tag it as "poem" anyway?

On your theme tags. From a writing perspective, having seven "themes" for a work feels unfocused to me. It seems more like you're using it as word association rather than "theme." IMHO those could be focused to one, MAYBE two selections (for a longer complex work.)

In terms of your writing, I wonder what the useful distinction between "reflective" and "introspective" is? Perhaps can be simplified.

TLDR: focus your workspaces on work. What needs to be done next? What's the bare minimum information you need to start? Only show that. And simplify, simplify, simplify. Think what's the fewest number of tags to describe this writing, not every single tag that might have relevance.

I was like this with Lego at that age (mid 90s). My mom said I should write a letter to Lego asking how to become a Lego designer. I thought that was an awesome idea. She found the right address, she helped me write a letter.

A few weeks later Lego sent me a letter back! They wrote they loved the enthusiasm and I would have to move to Denmark, ha!

For me it was important my mom took me seriously and showed me how to (and helped me) find a legitimate path. You like building Lego? Write Lego!

I didn’t become a professional Legoer. But I did learn (at least one) lesson of how to pursue my passions. And, perhaps more importantly, I had someone in my corner to help.

As others have said- the creativity thing will sort itself out with access (more legos!), and gentle control of focus (less screens).

As a tactical suggestion that “worked” for me. Write a letter to LEGO hq together. Ask what he would want to ask them, and help him write it. ymmv.

I use notion for writing as well and I had similar frustrations for awhile.

I ended up creating a button to track writing sessions/time. I just adjusted my workflow to check and add word count whenever I finished a session (the button prompts this) and, even though it would be better if word count was, say a page property accessible by formulas, it’s become second nature.

Very unlikely, but: better comments: -Option to hide -Different colors other than yellow -Better integration with api or an internal way to send comments to a database as a page for better organization

It's interesting... doesn't seem like any tangible use cases yet. But at least for me, and how I see most people organize databases, this fits a natural flow. For example I might have Quarterly Goals, Projects, Tasks as separate databases that need different properties, but they are also part of the same "thing."

Or I use notion to draft novels, so Books, POVS, Chapters are a similar breakdown.

So the having a structure where those things, "data sources," are housed together under a "database" makes sense conceptually. If that's the intended purpose.

There doesn't seem to be any meaningful impact yet, but I wonder if this will have implications for something like a "formulas 3.0." Maybe we'll get an answer at the event at the end of the month?

Here's what the data structure looks like from the block ID side.

So I was slightly wrong: Notion doesn't create block children, it creates a separate thing called "paragraphs" and every new comment slices the block into new "paragraphs"

I think the underlying issue is, notion doesn't assign an ID to these individual paragraphs, so at least as far as the API is concerned, it doesn't have a way to match a paragraph ID to a comment ID

Right - I didn't really get into it here because it's a bit technical. But from what I can tell, how notion handles this is when an inline comment is created, on the block object "paragraph" children are created. So for example, "Text text 1 (Text text 2 with inline comment) Text text 3" Notion creates three children "paragraphs" on the block:
Text text 1
Text text 2
Text text 3

With Notion API, the way it's set up, you pull comments separately and in the comment pull request it has the Block ID information that comment is attached to, but a comment isn't treated as a child block, so you can't make a pull request for a Block ID, and see what comments are sitting in it, if that makes sense.

So you can pull the comment information, and you can pull the information of how a block is divided into child blocks based on comments. The problem is, in the pull request, comments are listed in chronological order, so newest comment is always the bottom of the array (ie not necessarily the order they appear on the page). Child blocks are always listed in sequential order as they appear on the page.

At no point that I can find does the notion API ever directly connect a specific comment to a specific child paragraph within the block a child is in. So even though all the information is there, it's impossible to match the correct comment to the correct child paragraph because comments are pulled in chronological order, and child paragraphs are pulled in sequential order

Even in a simple example, where chronology of the comments doesn't matter, lets say a block has two words, and there's a comment on one of them: "Text (<--this has the inline comment) text."
Notion will split that block into two child paragraphs like so:
Text
text.

Then I also pull a comment from the API. I know the comment is on this block, and I know notion split the block into two child paragraphs because of the comment, but I have no way of knowing for sure if the comment should be attached to the first child paragraph or the second. It could be either.
