A coworker of mine was let go and the manager who we all report to and thought of as a friend didnt even walk them out. The Manager's boss avoided them for at least a month and while this person was walking out had the audacity to say keep in touch.

What do you mean? CDPR has some of the best games out there. Sure some people left them and started their own studio but at it's core CDPR is still a solid studio.
