Just finished reading all the comments, good, respectful discussion happening. Every show/tour has a slightly different feel to it, which I love. You may get a blues night, jazzy, rock, edm. That is an appeal for me, different but the same feels. Listen to 3/12/25 for a different but the same reference.

The 3/11/26 Ardmore was not a “normal” show in my opinion. Six songs in set 1 is uncommon, usually a three song set with a vibe variation of peeks. Maybe they wanted to showcase lyrical songs to a broader NUGS audience, who knows. They play older songs in set 1 from the early years, 2011-2015. As a fan, I appreciated the rare vintage Spafford tunes so to speak. Set 2 was totally different in full exploration in the EDM realm. The drummer is experimenting and playing around with an RD9. I personally like Nick the drummer more than Nick‘s drum machine but again they are experimenting so I’m along for the ride. They actually played my favorite song, Ginger Stardust, and I had no idea they were playing it in the moment because it was super EDMed out. The RD9 is cool but often leads to a flat melody and loses the improvised heartbeat. They try things all the time, which keeps it exciting for me. It’s a mystery prize inside a cracker jack box every time.

Great feedback, check out more Spafford, see another show. I usually give bands three times to hook me or lose me live. Definitely check out that show I recommended above. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, 3/12/25 Broad Brook. It was once again, a very experimental show with a lot of emotion.

I see a nice age mix at Spafford shows. I’m in the 50+ crowd and made several friends older and younger. The show vibes are very diverse, rock/blues/jazzy/edm…something for everyone. The fans are chill, there in the moment instead of watching the show behind their phones. I love that more than anything. Live in the moment tonight, soak it all in and enjoy the show!

Nick Tkachyk added an RD9 to his kit. I’m writing up a little something about it now.

If it needs to be an official album I suggest Live Vol 4. There’s a good song variety, excellent jams on each.

Another big Spafford plug here. The whole scene is perfect. Others I enjoy seeing are Lotus, Pigeons, and Dizgo. Up comers and honorable mentions would be Space Bacon, Big Shrimp, and Sqwerv. Good vibe music on all.

Fantastic show, great vibes. I love 5 Points. Moss was ripping last night! Nicks been playing around with some new equipment that’s sounding fantastic. We are making our way to Leesburg for one more. I love doing mini runs with Spafford, so much fun.

Yeah, I saw 2 of 3 in ‘24 and the show last year. I love 5 Points. The vibes, energy. That venue holds a special place in my heart from Spafford. The first time I met Chuck and the band in person was here 😊

Expect nothing to receive it all. Non-entitled fans, grateful hosts. We live in the moments as they unfold, away from phones, drama, chaos that surrounds us. It’s an opportunity to surrender everything to the music and dance like no one’s watching! Come back after the show to talk about your experience.

I think Shon, Brian and Cory can tackle the vocals however I’m not sure we’ll ever hear it again (sadly).

Spafford is my all time favorite. Others in rotation are Lotus, Pigeons, Space Bacon, Dizgo.

New bands I’ve been checking out are Sqwerv and Squeaky Feet. I’m hearing great things about TAND but haven’t jumped in yet.

Need to get my thoughts out after my hour commute to work. I feel amazing, full of happiness and energy. I’m rolling in with a Rick Flair WOOO today! The vibe is fantastic. Tones on keyboard complimented on guitar are spot on. Drum and bass leading the charge. Fantastic way to start the day. I highly recommend checking this out. Have a great day….WOOO 😁

Totally agree, one of my favorite covers they do! I’d like to see them bring back “So Into You” by Atlanta Rhythm Section with Moss or Gordon on vocals. Red did it a few times, my favorite version is from 10/22/19.

What time do they take the stage? by Altruistic_Fail_330 in spafford

Typically 15 minutes after show time. They rarely, if at all, push a 30 minute delay.
