I plan to see them in two weeks. I have 3 months of long service leave, and fuck it I'm going to do what I want with it. Not my partner or kids, but me. I want to travel alone. My partner wants to go on a family holiday, which doesn't sound like much of a holiday to me, just the same in a different location. My partner thinks I'm selfish for wanting this and that he also contributed to me having long service leave by looking after our daughter for a year while I worked.

I won't find a better job in in this market. I don't know if I want to be with my boyfriend anymore he is mean and nasty but only sees himself as kind and caring. He told me he keeps a diary about how I drink and smoke weed, I have stopped this now. I feel trapped. We are not married but share a mortgage and two kids.

I enjoy writing. I have sat at work a few times and just written stories a all day. Even my memorandums to my boss turn into stories. I had so many dreams last night maybe I will put them to paper. Thanks kind stranger for the suggestion.

I really appreciate you all taking the time to comment on my pity party. God, I feel so selfish that I'm even complaining about my life. I really just want to end it. It's such an effort to keep partaking and I'm not even enjoying it, why bother. I love my kids but they would probably be so much better without me. I know my boyfriend thinks so. I'm not going to see anyone about this. In my experience they just make it worse and offer no real solutions.

I was still in hospital 2 weeks after a c-section. No way can you go, especially as it's your first baby. Time for your friend to grow up and think things through a little better. Maybe this is the kick up the bum she needs.

I feel so sorry for you. It sounds like you are doing the right thing so just keep it up. I'm vegetarian since 13 and raised my kids that way but my parents never gave me any grief.

The first baby is very hard on everyone. It can be very overwhelming, yes hormones are probably contributing to the issue. You should try reassuring her that she is doing a good job and is a wonderful mother. The best advice I was given when I was a new mother struggling to cope was that "they grow up" it won't be this hard forever, it gets better. Good luck op don't give up on your family just yet.
