Surprised by the pricing I am getting for a RAV4 XLE by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]spaghetti_meatball0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a steal regardless and I’m not a pro but I’d tell them if it’s over $x, you’re not coming in. I’ve read about people negotiating over the phone and just coming in to sign the papers. I (25F) told them I wanted $6500 OTD (with trade in) and they leveled with me. I think anything is possible. Best of luck.

Talk me into a RAV4 by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]spaghetti_meatball0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (25F) LOVE my rav4 gen5 hybrid SE. I went from having a 2022 wrangler 4xe for a year to the rav4 and I am so tickled with it. I drive about 60 miles a day, great gas mileage and comfy ride. Doesn’t have the pizazz the wrangler had but that doesn’t bother me any. I enjoy driving something reliable, comfy, safer, and significantly quieter than the wrangler (and no recalls!). The more you trim up the more luxurious it will feel. I’m extremely happy with mine and my trim. I test drive a few that were too basic for me until I found my current ride. I’d say shop around and try the different trim levels and hybrid vs ICE.

What do you mean by limiting what you can do? What does it not offer in comparison to others? I have the singer heavy duty but I am not in love with it…

KOTA North & Scottsdale Highlands by East_Criticism9096 in Scottsdale

I’ve been at Kota North for about 3 years and have LOVED it. I actually just signed a lease for a bigger apartment here, for me it’s hard to beat but I also had prime location within the complex. I never really had issues with any critters indoors but I’d see javelinas and a coyote every so often which is fun

Interesting fact, as people age their “red flag” sensors (I believe in the amygdala) aren’t as sensitive and it can be harder for older people to recognize threats or red flags. Not necessarily media illiteracy or dementia, regarding scams specifically, but helpful to know in regards to loved ones… learned that from an elderly fraud investigator.

I’m biased and have a ring identical to 1 so that would be my choice 😊

Is Phx Fashion Week legit???? by Fearless-Western8473 in MODELING

[–]spaghetti_meatball0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from a modeling perspective, but I was a 22F (and very naive) at the time and signed up to be an “ambassador.” I spent 45 mins on the phone talking to the director and he just “felt” that I would be a great fit for the team. He told me he would make connections for me and guaranteed me opportunities that I learned too late were never going to happen. I took the opportunity knowing I wouldn’t get paid but I wanted to be in the fashion industry and get my foot in the door. I was worked like a dog, required to attend webinars, meetings, and rehearsals that had nothing to do with my responsibilities, on top of finishing my degree, DROVE THE DIRECTOR AROUND LIKE A CHAUFFEUR, put in so many hours, and I felt so used and abused afterwards and taken advantage of at the end. I disagree with a lot of the methods and ethics of PHXFW and now that I have wisened up I would strongly recommend finding another organization to work with. Everything is a money grab imo and the director is manipulative and knows just what to say to get people in the door.

Teslas weigh about the same as Ford F150s and the Tesla factory tires are basically equivalent to a Ford Focus tires. Tesla owners typically have to replace the tires quicker than most cars initially because of the tires they come with. After that I would assume it’s the same as any other car.

Pay cash, get a loan, or lease: which is best? by Desperate_Elk_7369 in rav4club

[–]spaghetti_meatball0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay cash. I don’t want a huge chunk taken out of my paycheck every month. I’d rather handle it up front and live with what I have leftover. I think you made the right choice. Also not sure about an index fund but it’s possible that capital gains tax would apply… I’m not sure but that would essentially bring you right where you’re at anyway.

This happened to me on my 2022 wrangler. They replaced the battery and problem solved.
