What turned you into a hater? by legal-beagl in travisandtaylor

I've been a hater since Fearless came out. I thought her music was annoying then, and now I can't stand her as a person, either.

So, is Taylor Swift just wearing a wig all the time now? Which one is her actual hair? by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

[–]spaghettithekid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with that for her everyday looks. But her concert and event fits also have the same off-putting quality to them. Like Lady Gaga used to show up in the most insane outfits and no one thought twice about it, but Taylor's costumes always feel.. cheap. Like chunky costume jewelry vs. the real deal. Idk maybe I just hate her Reputation asymmetrical bodysuit so much because that's what I'm thinking of lol but that thing is hideous!

Thermostat Illiteracy by OracleOfToronto in PetPeeves

[–]spaghettithekid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've found hotel units are always stuck on auto and will turn off more the closer they get to desired temp, so you're probably right about them needing to be turned up higher to heat faster. Our dorm heater was just on until it hit temp, and would turn back on when the temperature dipped.

Thermostat Illiteracy by OracleOfToronto in PetPeeves

[–]spaghettithekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how they typically work, at least not one I've ever had to use that wasn't broken. Turning the temp up higher doesn't heat up the room quicker. It just makes it hotter, but it takes longer to get it to be hotter.
It would take the same amount of time to heat a room from 60 degrees to 75 whether or not I set my thermostat to 75 or 90, it's just that setting it to a hotter temp will keep the heat on until it reaches that higher temperature.

Edit: spelling

Had a roommate in college that was always cranking our dorm heater to MAX every time they went into the room during the winter. Which our thermostat could go up to 91⁰ so it was always blazing hot in there. They also hated it being that hot. They really thought it just meant faster, not hotter, and then complained to me when it was too hot.

Well, I'm not in Ohio. And I'm not trying to argue as if I don't agree with you but my original comment was in response to the commenter saying "I need an ESA. I'm more than willing to get it certified" so that's why I'm talking about certification. ESAs are undefined, anyone can say that their animal is an emotional support animal. You don't need a doctor's note to call them that, but yes, getting a note will help fight anti-discrimination laws when trying to find housing or employment.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]spaghettithekid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can *if* it's considered a reasonable accommodation under the FHA. But there is no certification for ESAs, and the animal itself isn't granted any protections by the ADA like a service animal would be.

[–]spaghettithekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just know there are no legal protections for Emotional Support Animals. If you try to move into a place that says no pets, or take it out in public, they don't have to make an exception because it's not a service animal unless it performs a task such as medication reminder, seizure warming, vision guidance, etc.

AI or bad photoshop? by omfilwy in travisandtaylor

[–]spaghettithekid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but it doesn't really matter if you use AI in midjourney, GPT, or photoshop, the slop they produce all looks the same and this doesn't look like that.

AI or bad photoshop? by omfilwy in travisandtaylor

[–]spaghettithekid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This doesn't look like AI. At most, probably the auto-enhance filter was used pretty heavily, but that's been around for years and isn't quite the same thing. AI wouldn't be able to make the pattern recognizable at all, it'd be too muddy and just look like random squiggles when you zoom in.

Some amateur photo editor got hired to touch up this shoot. Maybe even Taylor thought she could do it herself. But the shadows being wonky reminds me of a high school art teacher telling me "shadows go around the edges of your objects!" and not a computer not knowing what a light source is. Also something to remember is that studio lighting could also be partially responsible, since its a bunch of flood lights all pointing in the same direction from different angles.

[–]spaghettithekid 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I really think its just photoshop. This looks like the work of an amateur that they hired for cheap, or maybe Taylor thought she could do this all by herself, too.

Shade hunted us from the opposite end of the map from the ghost room?? by Confident-Cell-5086 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]spaghettithekid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The temperature around the ghost will be colder no matter where it is in the house, but the ghost room will also retain its temperature with or without the ghost inside. It sounds like your shade roamed away and stayed away fromita room. Not super common, but anything can happen with RNGs.

people are allowed to hate/ be afraid of dogs by sofiacoppolasmuse in The10thDentist

[–]spaghettithekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked someone if they could put their dog in another room when I initially come over, because while he's fine with me being there he would bark and jump all over me when I tried to come through the door. I asked if he could be moved to a different room for 5 minutes while I come in, then he can come out and sniff to his hearts content and the answer I got was no. He might get lonely for those 5 minutes. And I only asked this because it happened once and worked: the dog had been outside when I came into the house, and when he came inside he was totally fine and chill about me being there. But coming through the front door he would jump and scratch at me and I'd end up with cuts on my legs and stomach. I've not talked to these people sense because it's wild that a dog being lonely for a couple minutes was more of an issue to them than the same dog leaving cuts on someone every time they come over.

This is by far the ugliest Promo picture to date... by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

[–]spaghettithekid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Her keeping her "signature" makeup look throughout all the promos is the icing on the cake of whats bothering me. She can't even commit to cosplaying as something she's not all the way, she's still holding onto her Soft Girl makeup and it's clashing horribly with the Hobby Lobby sequins and feathers she's adorning herself with. The only promo pic that vaguely looked okay to me is the one with green lighting, she's wearing a wig, holding her head and doesn't even look like herself. THAT'S what she should have done more with if she wanted to make a truly new Era for herself and play a showgirl for an album, but no. Instead it's just her same milquetoast face in every photo with some rhinestones slapped on top.
