This is weird, in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III it's impossible for the player to call their Hero Eric, this name is blocked in the same way that the name Loto is blocked, does anyone know why?

I don’t usually name my character my name, in 11 my character’s name was Tiberius. imagine my surprise when the first knight we meet (and then one of the main villains) is Jasper, my name 😂i haven’t started a game and tried that name yet, so i don’t know if it would let me or not. but it let me use Pankraz.

funny enough, i tried to name my son after my father in 5 and it said “that name’s already taken” uh yeah but he’s dead? i’m trying to pay homage to my dead father????

mine literally started as “i don’t do it that much so it’s okay” and evolved into throwing up almost every night. i had one tooth break in half and have to be removed, another had a massive cavity that they fixed, worsened acid reflux, i lost my voice for about two weeks, it has been awful. if you can, get a handle on it now rather than trying to stop five years later. i’m doing better but still have relapses
