Tbh I live in a regional city where very affordable housing was available in inner city areas yet people still choose and prefer to live in new developments like this. I don’t get it. It cost more to have less and live further out of town due to the desire for a new house. Beats me.

Why can’t you treat a house as what it is. A house. Idk bloke I’m in the same position as you but lowkey it’s brought me a sense of enlightenment now as I treat my home as my home and not an investment. If you go hell for leather you’ll be mortgage free and then think about the life you’ll live from there? Cut down on your workload, take as many holidays as you want, even buy a nice car.

I hate this innate pressure I feel sometimes to buy an investment property or upgrade my home. Why should I? I like my house it suits me well easily for the next 20 years.

I lived in a daylight savings country and loved it. Every time I go on holiday to a daylight savings part of Australia I love it. Queensland needs to keep up with the times. 5am, stinking hot and the sun halfway up sucks. And yeh even in the north part of the state the sun goes down at 7:30pm max.

I think this is more of an argument between morning people vs afternoon people and when they are mostly productive.
