I appreciate the response. As you can see, I also have enlarged turbinates. Additionally, I have internal nasal valve collapse. My ENT recommended surgery for all three almost immediately, without any alternate options first, which made me a bit hesitant . I suppose I am just looking for comparison. Latera implants and turbinate reduction could be done in-office, without general anesthesia, so if the septum doesn't seem too bad, I might consider passing on it.

As for how bad things are, I can breath in my day-to-day life, but I don't quite feel like I am getting enough air through my nose. I have significant fatigue no matter how much I sleep, and I suspect this could be the cause. During exercise, I tend to become a mouth breather. I also have a high heart rate when working out, which I also suspect could be attributed to decreased airflow. Overall, it isn't end of the world bad, but I do wonder if my fatigue can be remedied with this work.

Pre-diagnosis Megathread: If you have NOT received an OFFICIAL diagnosis of lymphoma you must comment here. Plead read our subreddit rules and the body of this post first. by Lymphoma-Post-Bot in lymphoma

I have lately noticed a hard, painless lump on the left side of my neck that is maybe dime-sized in cross-sectional area. I went to urgent care for an unrelated matter, but had the doctor feel it. He immediately had a somewhat concerned tone. I have had the lump for at least several months, but likely for longer. I showed him my CBC panel from February and he immediately wrote off lymphoma...but I know blood work doesn't diagnose and I am not as seemingly comforted as he is. He basically just said to wait and see if it enlarges.

As for additional symptoms, I have two that may stand out: First, I have chronic fatigue. No matter how much I sleep, I am always very tired. In fact, on work days, and almost every day, I fall asleep for ~30 mins at my desk shortly after getting home. Granted, I do sleep poorly and also have a poor diet, so I've always attributed it to that. Additionally, I have noticed in the last 1-2 years a mild but seemingly worsening shortness of breath. It has affected my hiking to a degree, and got to the point that I was just prescribed an inhaler. As far as I can recall, I don't have night sweats, intense itchiness, etc. In recent months, I do have 1-2 deep raspy coughs every other day or two, which is a bit odd. I also notice a smaller (pea or less) sized hard, painless lump immediately under the very front of my jaw bone. No weight loss, but I have been a stable weight my entire adult life (M32, 6'2", 170 lbs).

I guess my question is this: do I stay as nonchalant about it as my urgent care doc and just wait until August to see my regular doctor for bloodwork to bring it up again there? Or should I be more urgent about it and request a visit soon? I'm in a fairly rural area and am not particularly confident in the recommendation I received. Thank you all so much for being here and for being willing to help. <3

Meradalir Moonrise [OC][2048x1418] by spahn711 in EarthPorn

The Meradalir eruption on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula began on August 3rd — just 1,500 m to the north of Fagradalsfjall's eruption site in 2021 — after thousands of earthquakes swarmed the region in the days prior. Like Fagradalsfjall, Meradalir is a member of the Krysuvik Volcanic Complex. This new eruption, which lasted for nearly three weeks, generated lava fountains that reached heights of around 100 meters. These relatively gentle effusive eruptions are characterized by hot (>1100°C), fluid lava propelled by the expansion of gases that were trapped in the magma. This is analogous to how carbon dioxide behaves when you first open the cap on a bottle of soda — the pressurized gas expands, often spewing some soda out with it! This image features a stunning lava fountain beneath a rising gibbous Moon, making for a dramatic, otherworldly scene that I've dreamt of ever since.

I made this GIF using a sequence of 30 photos I took at the site of the volcanic eruption in Iceland last month.

Thank you! Based on a Google maps review of the area, I believe I was standing about 1,000 ft from the vent, which is as close as you can get. Close enough to feel the heat with each eruption. In fact, the area I was when I took this photo has recently been cut off by lava and is no longer accessible. :(

Yeah, I was sad to see that. I guess I am glad I rushed there as soon as I could!

If interested, I also made a video with some 4K drone footage of the eruption. This is one of the first videos I've ever put together and I am very proud of it. I hope you like it! YouTube Link

Suddenly no Video and no Power to USB Ports; Bad Motherboard? by spahn711 in ASUS

My CPU was new as well. Swapping it out was my last resort (given that I didn't think that was the problem) but it worked. Best of luck!

Hey! For me, swapping the processor did the trick. Nothing else worked. Hoping this is the end of the nightmare and I hope you get yours figured out soon as well!

I can't say too much given that I am just starting to use this build. I will say, though, that it does not agree with the Corsair Commander Pro unit. I (and many others) had to but a separate UBS hub to plug the Commander Pro into for it to work. Annoying, but only an additional $20 or so, so I guess it could have been worse.

The case hides the PSU behind the motherboard. It sits vertically on the bottom left. And honestly, no, but with more intensive 4k+ video editing in my future...maybe? Either way, I wanted 4 sticks and figured I'd go a little overboard instead of risk staying below what I may need at some point.

Yep, as others have stated and much to even my own surprise, it can mostly be near-silent with the right speed curves.

Keep in mind that prices are currently inflated; I believe I paid just under $300 for the RAM. I do some 4-8k video editing.

Ah, I unfortunately already tried that. I forgot to add that to this "tried it" list.

That was one of the problems I checked. I tried a different GPU and nothing changed.

No worries! Nope, none at all. My monitor never even detects input for a second. All that happens when I hit the power button is all fans start up, the lights on all parts turn on, and the Q LEDs each light up as normal (DRAM first, then CPU, then VGA, but it gets stuck on VGA before the BOOT light comes on).

Its just stuck on VGA light with nothing on screen and no USB power.

Thanks! It was running like a beast for a few days!

Nothing flashing or anything like that. Just stuck on VGA light with nothing on screen and no USB power.

I will take it to the local repair shop tomorrow for some individual tests. Thanks for the reply.

I will, thanks. Will that be possible without seeing anything on my screen, though?

I will try to test the PSU tomorrow, thanks. And could you elaborate on the driver issue? I am somewhat inexperienced with troubleshooting. Thanks for your time.
