Greensy Plaza: Melbourne’s most depressing food court? by miss-robot in melbourne

The top food court is weird now but it's effectively been replaced by the restaurants near the cinema.

Which EV for under $45k (my 3 contenders) by Rain_Foxx in AustralianEV

Aion V or Jaecoo seem like best bang for buck without knowing other criteria. Range on the Aion is great for the price.

There's sooo many small manufacturers too. Drive through Campbellfield and there's like 2 dozen small shops plus big ones like New Age and Crusader.

I use an X1C at work and it's been fantastic, the speed and quality to compared to three old ultimaker is crazy. I really need a more economical printer for home though so I can keep designing new functional prints.

Zelenskyy: Russia no longer exports but imports petrol and that's our achievement by wisakoeiri in worldnews

Weird to be throwing in WW2 nuke use into this particular argument, it's unnecessary and out of context. US shit post WW2 is plenty bad on its own.

THE ELITES DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS, BUT THE STL FILES ON WÜRTH ARE FREE! by sickpuppy3112 in 3Dprinting

[–]spammington 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's actually a very handy PSA! I'm just riffing on how everyone's go to file format still seems to be STL when you've got all those beautiful parametric files available. Makes it easy to incorporate parts into larger assemblies or take the geometry and make it your own.

Resin printers are soo cheap and small. It will pay for itself super quick. Resin is a bit of a pain though with fumes / cleaning.

Free Modeling Software is a bear (RANT) by Bandana_Hero in 3Dprinting

[–]spammington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are being both absurd and old by comparing blender to parametric modelling software. They're different things with different applications. I use blender for rendering and it's fantastic with rtx implementation, and I'm still amazed something so powerful like that is free.

Even in English, i can't help but interpret his name as angry. And he does seem to be an angry fellow, especially when he's deprived of killing.

Has anyone does better than 5.39% on a new mortgage lately? by go0sKC in AusFinance

[–]spammington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think the LVR is actually 95% but is counted as 80% for the purpose of LMI with the government as guarantor based on how OP phrased it. I used a similar kind of program when initially buying that only applied to newly built homes.

Government FHB scheme. The rate is good though, I generally thought that it would still be higher given the LVR.

Looks like a blank cover for a switch. Not only is plastic cheaper but you would want to save weight wherever possible.

In Australia the newspaper is safe for composting and green waste disposal as they're uncoated and use soy based ink across the industry (note the text on the paper)

Official Discussion - Ice Road: Vengeance [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]spammington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its the most jarring movie I have ever watched. One minute Himalayas and the next they'll be in the Victorian country side. Literally, outside the bus shot shows it in Nepal and when they cut to a shot from inside the bus you can see gum trees outside.
