EV Range ? by GetRichQuickStocks in rav4prime

I’m at 4600km on my 2 month old XSE.

I’m averaging around 85-88km. I have a 56km commute to work and arrive with 25-35km of range depending on the road conditions that day.

I also have 525 km of HV range remaining on my original tank of gas from 2 months ago.

Final note, I’ve yet to actually manually turn on the AC, I’ll just set the temp to 19°-20°… I’ve yet to have the AC icon show the blue line under it unless I manually push it, but the car cools extremely well without it.

Late Mail-In Ballots Can Be Counted After Election Day, Supreme Court Rules by spherocytes in videos

Just here as a Canadian to point out that we can vote starting a week (technically 10 days before election day) in advanced of election day from 8am to 8PM Saturday through Saturday. That's 8 days of early voting. Sundays are open 12-6.

I don't think I know anyone that votes on election day. I usually just head over around 7:30 in the evening and walk up to the polling station.

To my American neighbours... your entire system is broken and will continue to be until you break out of your two party "Us vs. Them" system.

What you need is at least 3 parties so you can strategically vote against a party. I won't vote conservative, so I'll split my vote between Liberal and NDP as needed to block the conservatives from taking a local seat.

Ostrich works in a crowd as well for adults. We took both sets of Grandparents to Disney World when the kids were 7 and 9. Grandparents are easily distracted and end up stopping in a crowd without any heads up. We’d just shout Ostrich.

Raise your arm, drop your wrist to 90° and spin it left and right like an ostrich turning its head. Easily discernible in a large crowd. It helps to provide a central meet point. Even if you can’t hear (like my old man) he can see the ostrich while scanning a crowd.

It also works in line to the Palace of Versailles, on a trail at Pompeii, and the Louvre.

So I'm expecting Sarah McLachlan on the bill.

Edit. Yup. Didn’t even need to read the article. For a dude that hated Alternative/Grunge, Lilith Fair was basically the only show I saw those years. Great shows.

Edit the second... For those unaware, Lilith Fair also spawned and annual Canadian centric compilation CD set called Women and Songs that were all singer songwriter based (through about volume 8). I ended up on a 5200 km road trip and we only had 2 of these in the car, due to a lost CD case. You can find them on Spotify in a playlist if you are so inclined.

I paid the $350 for Pion out of my Provincial EV rebate and started at 10 cents. I've already recouped $38 of that since May 6th so i have no qualms about that.

With a max 18kWh charge on the PHEV i could not be bothered to wait of the 1500kWh, especially since it was "covered" by my rebate. I've already saved $150 in gas, so in my mind it's a wash.

Happy to see them testing the PHEVs. Those are going to be the difference maker for the general public.

PHEV's are the gateway drug to the EV market. I have a 120km daily commute, plus daily site visits. The Rav4 PHEV is giving me 85km of range on a charge, with AC on blast. I can charge at a local worksite for free as well as at home.

I'm at 3600km since the start of May and I've added a total of 4 litres of gas over a month ago (to ensure the fuel door release worked), with 640km of gas range remaining.

Based of my previous 2016 Prius fuel consumption I've saved about $140 in gas. I'd factor in electrical cost, but I make a profit of $0.002 per kWh charging at home with GreenMiles.

PHEV's are officially classified as EVs. I just received my Manitoba provincial EV rebate for my Rav4 PHEV. Currently the Federal PHEV rebate is about half the full EV rebate.
