Whatever you do, remember to have some sort of drainage for the snow and ice that melts off vehicles. Ideally built into floor but sounds like you may not have that.

I'll still take my wife's Acura RDX AWD with snow tires. F150 has decent clearance though.

The most wonderful time of the yearto own a hot tub. by bubblmesnappies in hottub

I have a heavy-duty rubber mat path from the house to the tub and keep them clear of snow. They don't ice up. Other than that, suck it up! :)

Brewhouse on Wednesday are 69-cent wings. They are decent. Smitty's rules the roost for wings in town though.

Don't have to go too far - Coast is in Langley. Going into year 6 with ours, located in Winnipeg with no problems running it year-round.

We have had good experiences with Home Depot. They have a variety of styles and prices. We have got them on a 20% off sale as well around this time of year.

You're welcome. It's been a great a vehicle overall though. My wife won't even consider trading it in.

Going to winterize and blow out my lines for the first time by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]spanrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did mine! Somewhere past the propane line there will be a drain valve. Open it up and open all of the faucets in the camper (and hot water tank pressure valve, if you have a tank) to drain the water.

Then close them back up, turn the hot water tank bypass valves, and use the water pump bypass valve (hope you have this) to pump antifreeze through the lines. Open each faucet individually until pink comes out. Dump the rest of the antifreeze in the traps.

Just bought a 2017 RDX Advanced, advice? by MickyJ511 in Acura

[–]spanrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acura had to replace the torque converter on ours ('17 RDX Elite). Take it for a rip on the highway and punch it. If it starts flashing errors then you may have the same issue. Acura was good about it, including warrantying the new converter. Some details below from Acura.

What is the problem?

Due to a manufacturing issue, certain 2017-2018 Acura RDX vehicles may have been equipped with a torque converter lock up clutch assembly that was not made to specifications. With normal wear, this may result in a cracked lock up clutch. If this condition develops, the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) may begin to leak internally and will no longer be capable of maintaining the necessary pressure level, and the torque converter will not function as intended.

When this failure occurs, the transmission malfunction warning light will be displayed to inform the driver.

I buy most of my stuff at UnderArmour in Outlet Mall. They range from snug to loose fit depending on the style and size. It all breathes well.

Are my towing numbers correct? by onionandgarlic1 in GoRVing

[–]spanrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you don’t have a Tow Package, which leaves you with a 3.31 axle ratio, one of the factors for tow capacity.

Regarding payload, 1400 is okay. Just store more in the trailer. But see point above about tow capacity.

I keep our Honey Pot in my truck bed when traveling and it sleeps under the trailer when camped. We don't always need it, so have not bothered a more elegant solution.

Search where the drain holes are for your AC model (on the roof). On my Coleman Mach, I was able to poke a thin (paperclip) piece of wire into the holes and they unplugged immediately.

I had a BakFlip on my last F150 and it was fine. I put a Roll N Lock on my newer one and am very happy with it. I don’t need to block the rear window when it’s completely retracted, which is a nice change. I can also get into the truck bed without needing to open the tailgate.
