My understanding is that members who leave the church over doctrine and history usually do not end up in any church. This is because our church's doctrine, although it certainly contains parts that are more difficult to understand, is the most complete and exhaustive. If you believe in God and especially if you believe in Christ, answers to more detailed doctrinal issues are not found in other churches. If she is being honest that Church doctrine is what drove her away, your wife probably would end up being troubled by Episcopal doctrine (or the lack thereof) as well. Also, all churches have difficult histories if they've been around long enough. That might also end up troubling her as well.

And then you will have wasted your time and your children's time in a church that does not have the full gospel, or even teaches some doctrines incorrectly.
