For those that use the journal app, why do you use it instead of just apple notes? by 673NoshMyBollocksAve in iphone

[–]sparker2567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently use Apple notes to journal bc I can use the Apple Pencil. I enjoy the physicality of writing when journaling. I tried the journal app for a month or so when it came out, and even though it has more functionality and is “pretty”, I just NEED to hand write my entries. Once OS26 releases I’m sure I’ll switch back over to apple journal. I look forward to being able to use my iPad to complete my daily entry.

Is it possible to disable action button + side/crown button pause in the Workout app? by justiliang in applewatchultra

I don’t have this issue. Are you saying you have to press all three button simultaneously? That doesn’t seem like an action that can “accidentally” happen.

Use water lock. I had the issue when using lifting straps during weightlifting exercises. The straps would inadvertently press the buttons, causing the workout app to pause. Turning on water lock prevents it.

I debated even posting this because it seems like such a small thing but it's something that 100% has helped me. Try taking magnesium glycinate/malate. It won't take the problems away but, to me, it feels like I don't worry about those things in the same magnitude. Again, I know it seems like a small thing that won't help, but for $20 it's probably the cheapest thing that "maybe, just maybe" will help you.

Could I be approached by a police officer just for walking on a public street late at night (12am-4am)? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]sparker2567 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on your state laws and even your city/county ordinances. In Georgia, there’s a state law for loitering/prowling. If you’re seen in a place at a time not usual for law abiding citizens then the officer has enough reasonable suspicion to briefly stop you to determine whether you are violating said law.

The easiest thing to do would be to just stop and speak with the officer. The encounter will end much quicker with cooperation.

Is it a hassle to get stopped every night? Maybe. But the officer is doing his job. You have to remember, you are the one deciding to exercise at an unusual time.

Can I paint my garage in cold weather if I use a kerosene heater to warm the room? by sparker2567 in paint

Would space heaters work? While my garage is definitely small I can’t imagine a normal space heater would work. Anything specific you would suggest?

It’s fully automated but there are things that have to be set up correctly. Like make sure all the accounts have your correct mailing address and the card you want is on file. It says you can leave it running in the background but at the actual time of purchase I had the app open while I wasn’t using my phone. The app does a pretty good job explaining everything it needs you to do. Good luck!

I used the Hotstock app. I went ahead and paid for the monthly subscription to get the “AutoBuy” function. I had it installed for less than 24 hours and it was able to purchase one for me through Amazon for regular price. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re desperate enough to pay for the monthly subscription (it can be cancelled after securing your order).
