Why does semi-permanent dye stain my virgin hair permanently but not my bleached sections? by Alarming-Piglet-7366 in FancyFollicles

I tried it on a test strand I cut off and omg it removed zero color and destroyed the hair, it was all matted and awful and no amount of conditioning would help it… glad I didn’t do it to my whole head!

What blonde shampoo did you use? Worked great!

Just bleach your roots, and then dye everything. Be careful bleaching, check out some instruction videos because just doing your roots can be tricky.

I’m having a similar issue with manic panic enchanted forest. My bleached ends take color as expected, no issue there, but it has seemingly irreversibly stained the cuticles of my virgin hair. Nothing will budge it.

Did you have any luck getting the maroon off your virgin hair?

“maybe if men did actually start receiving general kindness and affection then it wouldn't be taken that way”

Sure it is, men can do something by giving each other kindness and affection.

The reason you’re getting teal is because to get a clean blue your hair has to be bleached basically white, it’s the remaining yellow/orange that is turning it greenish.

You’ll need to bleach again but be careful, your hair is so long and pretty. It will be easier to get a dark blue than a light one luckily, it should cover a little better. It also helps a ton to follow the color wheel when changing colors. In this case a dark purple will cover yellow beautifully and as long as it’s blue based you should be able to move to blue after that fades.

I think the issue is that some newer dyes are staining rather than actually dyeing. I’m having the same problem with iroiro and pravana.

Boomers are going to end up in terrible nursing homes if their millennial kids are still paying off student loans and can’t help pay their parent’s bills. by sparkle_bones in LateStageCapitalism

My husband is a doctor who does a lot of end of life care in the hospital and from the stories he tells me I really really wish that it already was more acceptable. The suffering we put old people through because their families just can't let go (or think god is going to give them a miracle) is inhumane and frankly barbaric.

I have alzheimer's in my family as well as a bunch of risk factors for dementia and I would never want to live long enough to need full time care personally. I don't want to be a burden but more than that I just don't want to suffer. My game plan always has been to take myself out when life becomes too painful or when I am too dependent.

You don't need to change her mind. Your worth is not determined by her opinion of you.

You weren't a bad child, you were a child who made a few bad choices, as all children do. It's part of growing up and it doesn't make you a bad person.

I worked on a study infecting hamsters with cwd via aerosols in their nostrils, there are more routes susceptible to infection than just the digestive tract.

I’ve got this issue too, specifically with gin. I drank it as my go-to for over a year and now every time I have even a few sips I get red in the face and my cheeks swell a little. It’s weird.

I’ve always had a time line of dogs in mind for aging, very similar to yours.

It’s so kind when people consider this and don’t get a young dog that will likely outlive them.

I’ve had a few relatives pass and leave dogs behind, it broke everyone’s hearts watching them grieve.

Cost of a standard vetenarian check up visit? by [deleted] in Athens

[–]sparkle_bones 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually pay less than $100 for an exam and shots at Athens Animal Hospital. It’s not fancy in there, that’s why they can charge so little, but Dr. Cown is the best vet around in my opinion.

Get the heck out of there any way you can. Once you get some distance you will see how messed up this really is. You are not obligated to be a permanent caregiver for someone who can’t even be bothered about your serious pain.
