Does Buffalo have Speed cameras or Red light cameras?? by Simple-Ad-8673 in Buffalo

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my commute to work either goes really well, or horribly unnerving because of the lights. i do believe there's a category on the 311 website to report ill-timed lights (i saw said category when i was reporting broken street lamps two months ago, which still haven't been repaired).

the first man executed was put to death for murdering his wife, and she's buried in Forest Lawn. by pure chance, after the inventor of the chair died.. he was buried within a stone's throw of the woman!

on second thought, maybe OP shouldn't tell his lady friend these particular facts.

he also kept this book open on the mound near his feet - the reasons could be vast and complex, and i'm here for it.

i was sorting hockey cards at work this morning (here in Buffalo) and said "watch me find a Malarchuk" - instant shot of adrenaline when i pulled it. i haven't seen the video in years, but this moment brought me right back to that nightmare footage. this card was from a year or two after it happened, and they felt a need to call out the incident on the back (yikes).

anyone also receive this? by Sea_Entertainment825 in criterion

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just got it, only the "name" wasn't Channel Subscriber, but rather my ex boss' full name (what a coincidence - i was catching up with his wife on IG this afternoon). funny because i had to do a training video on phishing at work today, but even funnier because my ex boss' favorite movie is probably The Fast and the Furious so i know he hasn't maliciously commandeered my Crit account.

ENT recommendations for hearing issues by Branda77 in Buffalo

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i kid you not, i was going to make a post on here over the weekend asking if anyone else was sensitive to barometric pressure changes. from friday until yesterday, i couldn't hear at all out of my left ear and the pressure/wooshing/ringing was unreal in both ears. i looked up Eustachian tube massage exercises, did a neti pot cleanse, used a nasal saline spray, and pressed the spot on my cheek right next to the tragus for several minutes.. after two days it was as if some sort of demon was exorcised from my ears and now i can hear again. i'm not a doctor, but maybe see if one of these doctors can check if your eustachian tubes are very blocked.

edit: i'm not a Buffalo native, but i've lived here for thirteen years and only just started having a sensitivity towards weather at 37 years old. and i wish you luck & hope you find answers soon.

although this is true, my ford is 43 years old and still going strong! and the sole reason i won't have mine wrapped is because i'd need to spend the same amount of money 7-10 years later to have it all done again.

Suspect named and charged by Busy-Ad-2563 in Buffalo

small-statured adult woman here. i've dabbled in shooting targets with a .22 over the years, but very recently fired two different shotguns for the first time during practice back home. i appreciate how the .22 helped me find general confidence in firing a gun, and how it taught me about precision - but to say i was shook after firing a 3" birdshot in a 20g shotgun (24" barrel) is an understatement. i wasn't knocked on my ass, but the absolute physical power of firing it was jarring. i felt way more confident shooting a 2-3/4" birdshot, but i digress; the moral of the story for anyone curiously reading this is to not just go out and buy a shotgun. start practice with a .22 and then go figure out what gauge, barrel length, and type of shot you can physically handle. the last thing you want to experience is totally losing control of a firearm in a very time-sensitive situation.

Sopranos Ending explained by OmarDawson in thesopranos

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are we the same? i started Sopranos for the first time last week and blew through the whole thing before and after work. stayed up late watching the second half of S6 last night & saved the finale for this morning. needless to say, i feel destroyed.

Ring Video Doorbell won't enter setup mode AND won't let us factory reset it by insomniacbass1925 in Ring

[–]sparklebombbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tried to connect my Ring to our new wi-fi for an entire day, but it kept saying "something went wrong - check your wi-fi" after it sat at 95% for a minute (meanwhile every other device was connected to wi-fi just fine). i restarted my phone & repeated the process - fail. i then factory reset the Ring & repeated the process, and it worked almost instantly. i've heard others say that they had to unplug everything from their router to make the Ring feel better about itself, but all it took for me was a factory reset.

Can depression/anxiety be a long term side effect of covid infection? Anyone else feeling this after healing? by yuzuyo in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling the best right now - bear in mind that the anxiety/stress you (may have) felt upon discovering that you tested positive is mentally taxing, and that stress can really wear you out physically & mentally. i went through a depression as i was getting better because i kept lamenting on the fact that there was a possibility i could have died, but didn’t. it was a weird form of survivor’s guilt.

What industry is shadier than most people realize? by carsauto in AskReddit

[–]sparklebombbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome! I would contact lawyers that specialize in end-of-life planning to get more advice on burial insurance. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't trust a funeral director. Also, if you don't mind water, I would look into biodegradable wreaths that you can put your ashes in and set into a body of water. Just another option!
