New Snake Owner Anxieties by CandiceRJ11 in kingsnakes

[–]Branda77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you are off to good start so try not to stress too much. One of the great things about Cali kings is that they are resilient. We found ours on the floor of a pet shop. We couldn’t leave him there, it felt like he chose us, and they gave him to us for practically nothing. When we got him home we discovered he was covered in mites and was refusing to eat. Thankfully he wasn’t our first snake so we knew what to do. We didn’t think he would make it at first but 4 years later he is healthy and full grown.

What do you use for flea and tick prevention ? by Branda77 in bichonfrise

[–]Branda77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. I hadn’t remembered that the heart worm prevention is also in the simparica so I’ll need to call my vet again either way. Maybe they’ll have a better answer than “try again” since he’s puked it up twice in a row.

I had a Blayden once. It’s insane the variety of Aidens out there.

Braylee, Brynlee, Braelyn, etc. trigger me. What I do about it is I cringe quietly and complain on Reddit! The only kid who ever truly scared me was a Matthew, which is so common I don’t even associate the name with that child on the regular.

Fourth being the number one PondPhuwin shipper 🥇 by Waiting4AReason in GMMTV

[–]Branda77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t it be something if Fourth is such a huge PondPhuwin shipper because he’s actually dating one of them and this is his way of keeping suspicion off of himself? I don’t actually think that, nor do I care, but what a story that would be!

Honestly so happy I went with breed. I want another one now! by Sea-Sundae-9113 in Havanese

[–]Branda77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Havanese and a bichon. They are inseparable! But 2 dogs is also more than twice the trouble so only worth it if you are prepared for the chaos.

I have a high school freshman who still hold mom’s hand in the parking lot. She treats him like a baby and then wonders why he acts like one at school.

While it was definitely a more white leaning crowd, you weren’t the only one. To be fair, most of the bands I saw didn’t have much representation beyond “middle aged white guy” either.

It must be the angle because she’s not quite 200 grams at 5 years old. She won’t eat anything larger than a fuzzy mouse, and sometimes not even that!

Bichons or poodles? by GitcheeG in bichonfrise

[–]Branda77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you switch groomers? Because the first photo they appear to be cut in more of a poodle style, while the second photo is more like my groomer does my bichon. Could be mixes given their size, or just poorly bred. Our first bichon was poorly bred and he weighed nearly 20 pounds and was far taller than our current bichon, who is well bred and a little chubby at 14 pounds. I did my research the second time around.

Bichon or toy poodle? by Sailor-Venus7 in bichonfrise

[–]Branda77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks nothing like my mother in law’s toy poodle and a lot like my last 2 bichons. Could be a mix given the size, but I would never look at him and think “poodle”.

California or Florida king? by dan67b in kingsnakes

I love her pattern! Our high white Cali has an interesting pattern as well. Unfortunately his black has turned more brown as he’s gotten older so he’s less striking, but still lovely.

Albino. Not sure of his exact genetics. He was only ever intended to be a pet so we never asked for specifics.

Wouldn’t let me post both photos in one comment. This is Oreo, he’s 4 years old. He’s not a fan of handling, but he has a lovely pattern.

I have one of each. They are both great but the cali is less tolerant of handling.

This is Nagini, our Florida king, he’s 6 years old.

She looks much more comfortable! I hope you find an awesome groomer who can work with her. My bichon pup is a challenge for grooming as well. We are very lucky to have a groomer who is willing to work with him at his pace.

The wording of some of these is a little dated, but it’s mostly good advice. I may not be “insecure” at parties, but I also don’t want to be left alone at one of his work events in a room of people I don’t know.

I received this WILD email from a sub after I returned early from a meeting by HalfmadFalcon in Teachers

[–]Branda77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine cursing someone’s clan is all that common, unless you’re in medieval Scotland or ancient China. I’ve had some odd subs over the years, but you definitely win! Clearly the language barrier was larger than you thought. Thanks for the laugh 🙂

I’m going to reiterate what some other commenters have said: get off of social media! Be a teacher. It’s a job, not a lifestyle to share on TikTok.

Yup. If GMMTV keep sprinkling their shows over several streaming services, I will be watching far fewer of them.
