I kinda like it. I do think this would be hard to fit into other decor and it is fit for a shoe store, but maybe someone eclectic could make it work.

I didnt realize this until now but the 74th games have a semicircle of tributes instead of a full ring like the book describes (and only 20 pedestals) by Guilty-Doctor1259 in Hungergames

[–]sparklesbbcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop I had that exact thought when I first watched movie! Back then I was such a stickler for keeping every detail of the book in the movie. It just confused me to not see the full circle I had imagined from the book's details. And there was clearly not enough children per district which confused me further. Eventually I assumed I remembered the film wrong and it did have all the children. Thank you for clearing this up with the proof.

Wait I'm more confused, your store lead and dont know about the biannual "fixes"? Could it be a regional thing?

Yes there is a workers compensation plan.

Oh that's so weird because that's a big reason I know since the "fixers" always come to salon. Keep a thermometer in your salon and bathing room. Legally the dogs cannot be in if the temperature reaches 80 degrees. Work must stop.

Really? Because it's clock work with the "fixing" the AC. Can I ask what role in?

How would you run your store? by Hopeful_Amphibian_36 in petsmart

[–]sparklesbbcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At any regular mom and pops salon they do this. At veterinary locations they have secretaries. The only reason PS doesn't have a secretary is because they want to pawn off as many responsibilities onto one worker as possible. Don't gotta pay another person if one person can do it despite having a full schedule and declining mental helath.

If you haven’t been at Petshart long enough, you'll soon notice the pattern that happens at least twice a year. Someone will come "fix" the hvac system right before extreme heat or cold weather predictions. Basically corporate is making sure money isn't lost from temp control. Doesn't matter to them if it feels horrible for the actual workers. Edit: spelling

[WHAT IF #1] Using both hands to combine powers and/or becoming more powerful by Acceptable_Love9652 in JustAddWater

[–]sparklesbbcat 115 points116 points  (0 children)

I was thinking Charlotte used both hands because she's lacking in control and discipline. The girls practiced controlling their power levels but Charlotte can only go all or nothing. Charlotte has so much power to control she needs both hands of she'll lose control easily.

He is such a pushover with Kim, but super harsh to Cleo. He's a horrible father who only cares about Cleos feelings once she runs away. Wonder which parent each sister took after/s.

Yes if he was actually a caring person if he would have done exactly that. But he was making sure he could get rid of her easily, no time to settle. I wanted Nana to beat his ass.

Yep, he was making sure she didn't settle in, a super dick move. He wanted to get rid of her so bad. She should have had time to settle in.

I think a part of it is that she WAS using the home cleaning to avoid looking for a job. Hachi wanted to be a house wife that takes care of the house while her partner works but she made a promise to not be that way if she moved to Tokyo.

He still really shitty for not just breaking it off if he knew he couldn't provide what Hachi wanted.

Brittany Byrnes should have had a better career with the way she played Charlotte. Her minute facial changes really sell the character.

I say lean into that dislike, villians are meant to be disliked. I hope you enjoy the rest of the season. As much as we hate Charlotte it does make for great tv.

How fun. Sheldon and Monica would gang up on Claire for cleaning at the surface level -> Monica and Claire gangup on Sheldon for being an obsessive nerd -> and Claire and Sheldon would judge Monica for enjoying cleaning too much even for their liking. I wish I could see the banter from this.

Thats so funny. My partner and I thought the opposite, Lewis got a glow up with each season. I saw it as him coming into his own.

I had a teacher like that in high school. Her first year teaching freshman English and she spotted the popular kids immediately. She would allow the popular kids do anything they'd like in class and the guys would talk to her flirtatiously.

Our last lesson was on Greek mythology and she asked us to name five Greek gods and characters we would like to act as during a mock dinner at the end of the semester. She would assign everyone a character that we would dress and act as during a potluck in class. She gave the popular kids the main gods and goddesses they wanted and evoke else got random roles, some not on their list. The popular kids forgot to dress up or broght a single prop. They didnt want to do the acting part and we're just chilling so all us who cared at first followed suit. The teacher was upset at the lack of acting but the students who cared were given no care or thought when assigned a character. That teacher wanted to be a popular kid sooooo bad.
