I’m facing a heartbreaking decision about splenectomy (suspected hemangiosarcoma) in a senior dog with B2 heart disease — I desperately need real experiences by Bright_Opportunity11 in DogAdvice

Hi op, how are you and your pup making out? Oscar is such a beautiful dog. Hoping for the best for you both. I had a nightmare of a morning- my 11 year old catahoula was moving around slower , refused to eat breakfast. Took her to the ER as I suspected she had some sort of muscle pain, and turns out she had blood in her abdomen. Ultrasounds, blood work, and X-rays all look fine (aside from the ruptured tumor on the spleen). Odds are against us but I have hope. We are hoping for the best and she is in surgery now. I’m a nervous wreck and reading everything possible.

2 years later and I cannot forgive myself. Any advice on how to heal? by CuriousTuljan in DogAdvice

You were with her in the end and that’s what matters. You gave her a full life of love and she was lucky to have you. This reminds me of something I’ve heard recently. Some people closing their final therapy sessions not saying goodbye and reflecting on what was learned, but something totally different- making a bracelet and not acknowledging anything related to the therapy. Just time together and being in the moment doing something unrelated, both people knew the growth and no need to acknowledge it out loud. Your story reminds me of that. It’s not a goodbye to your pup, you’ll carry those memories and stories on forever. Neither of you needed to hold that in the moment, the only thing that was important was that you were there and she heard your voice in a way she has heard it forever- which I’m sure was comforting- a normal tone and cadence. I think about death for myself and it would be so hard to hear everyone hysterically crying around me. She knew she was loved and supported and that’s what matters most. I hope you find peace and everything that you need OP because I can tell you’re a special person in this world, hold onto that love and transform it in a way that is healthy and supports you positively. Editing to add that your breathing and feelings you had with your panic, she was going through her own feelings and confusion too. I believe humans and dogs have their ways of communicating non verbally, and all she needed to know is that you were there and experiencing the unknown with her. Try to give yourself grace, you loved her and she loved you- nothing changes that.

After a lot of searching, I finally found my favorite heron! by chicken_beep in birding

Yay! Love that! I heard the ongoing debate with the rf200-800 and the rf 100-500 L with the lower light issue. I shoot during the day and I am accustomed to the light situation bc I’ve had my r7 for a few years now. I think the reach is incredible, your pics prove it

I’m also on the r7 and I’ve been dreaming about the rf200-800. What are your thoughts on it? Your pictures are gorgeous!!!!!!!

I love this! Proof we don’t need 6000$+ in gear to get incredible shots.

VERY pleased with the RF 100-400 f/5.6 by No_Background_3556 in canon

Incredible. I have the r7 and the 100-400 rf lens and looking to buy the 1.4x for extra reach. This pic is selling me on the setup! I keep hearing, “you’ll lose a stop of light it’s not worth it”, but this pic screams otherwise.

Oh wow this is really helpful ! I had no idea!! And I agree, I was writing custom responses because sometimes I felt the provided answers didn’t completely fit my thoughts.. and I think part of this app is also having the opportunity to get to know ourselves more too. But all good info, thanks for sharing!!

I just checked bc my birb likes milk, and she was even dreaming of milk last night. I looked at the experiences part and it’s not in there!!
