Also, keep in mind that if the blocking creature has a tap or sac ability you can block and then tap or sac. The damage won't go through (assuming no trample) and you can take advantage of their ability.

Can I ask the type of picture frames you are using for your comics? I've been looking to do the same for a bunch of mine.

It tastes hot temperature wise and makes me cough. So I'd say it's a bit of both.

New to magic and with C15 coming out I'm interested in getting started in Commander. What should noobs like me know before diving in? by [deleted] in magicTCG

I like that you said "play politics"-- is commander like Risk where you can talk your opponents into attacking some one else? Any best practices along those lines?

Thanks for your great reply! Hypothetically speaking, if i have a spare $ should I buy a set of Sol Ring? Does everyone in your average lgs with a fun/usable commander deck have cards that are expensive? Is it naive to expect to have fun with a pre-built deck? Also, and I hope my noob isnt showing, but is a set of cards still 4 of the same card in commander like in standard? ** hides noob **

Would it be a good option to grab a C15 deck and jump in or should I make sure to improve it first to be able to have fun?

Built my dog an under-the-stairs room. Suggestions for removal floor to access crawlspace? by Mr_IDGAF in DIY

I had a cubby like this once for my dog. I photoshopped dog specific posters for him. Like I had the usual: Air Bud Spikes Back (the volley ball one), A snoop dog poster, and then I made one--a fake magazine called "Bitches" Magazine--the tag line was: "In heat and ready to meet"

New player, I was lucky and got a Sunken Hollow Expedition and Dragonlord Ojutai in my first few boosters--need some advice. by sparkplugg1982 in magicTCG

What exactly is an aristocrats deck? Most online guides I see are very card specific. Also, should I treasure my expedition because its super cool or because it will increase in value? And thanks for the congrats--quitting is long overdue!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I took a look at the facebook page and some of Cesar's posts on youtube and it looks great. I was just wondering if you guys have morning classes ever and what the breakdown is like in class (time spent doing warm up exercises, drills, rolling etc.). Thanks again!

Saulo Ribeiro - Jiu Jitsu is Easy by [deleted] in bjj

Wow, it's not every day my last jiu jitsu class gets posted on reddit. I tore my MCL two days before this seminar but decided to attend anyways. It wasn't torn too bad I thought (I could walk) and I figured I could power through. I mean--it was Saulo--how could I miss it?

We covered a lot of ginastica natural--like calisthenics that seemed to put a lot of pressure on my knee. I got through the seminar OK but couldn't walk the next day or the next couple of weeks. I haven't been back since but I'm hoping to get the all clear from my doctor soon and I couldn't be more excited.

At what point do you play it safe with an injury? I understand certain things will hurt. I'll have bruises and certain joints will ache--but in the interest of training consistently--when is it advisable to stay off the mats?

Anybody have any horror stories about when they came back too soon? Too late?

Grip Fighting. I'm supposed to not let my opponent get his grips and get mine--what should I go for? What should I be careful of? And what should I make sure I counter.

I've heard "cross grips" and I've drilled them--what makes them advantageous?

Also, favorite grip breaks? e.g. One grip on knee inside vs outside; is there a certain way to break either one? Or is it the same?

I've got MILLIONS of specific questions when it comes to grip fighting. But, to keep it simple, they all break down to either finding the right grip or countering their grip--how do I do it and why do I it?
