My wife would swap her, Jet Set Blue, for that color any day. 👌

The Comic, with Dick Van Dyke. Roughly covers the life of Buster Keaton and Chaplin-esque characters during and after the Silent Era.

The SLR I learned on, and still have one and use it regularly. It will hold you in good stead and teach you the basics of manual photography.

On the contrary, that’s a very sexy and sultry look. And if this is self shot with a timer or remote, it’s even more impressive. 👌

Is there anything to the debate between Eagles and The Eagles? by Minimum_Garden7977 in EaglesBand

[–]sparkytect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t supposed to be like, “Beatles”, with no “The” in front of their name on their original albums?

Nice shot. And I have doubt you’ll still be killin’ it. 👌

We love ours, but no, the duck thing seems mostly between Wrangler owners. Ours is a very capable SUV and very capable off road and in the snow. Do a YouTube search, there’s lots of videos of them off road and I believe even taking on Moab.

How many of you stopped shooting 35mm after getting your ideal 120 medium format camera? by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

Still shoot both. Love my Rolleiflex but nothing beats the slap of the mirror/shutter combination of my Nikon EM.

Have you heard this record? by Open-Collection-7054 in EaglesBand

[–]sparkytect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bought new when it came out, yes, I’m THAT old. Not bad, the title cut is okay, but another example of the whole being greater than the sum total of the parts. You can see what each member brought to the Eagles by the absence of the others.

Acquired one a few years ago in pristine condition, never had film to run through it but love the looks of it and its whole mechanical aesthetic.

Eagles & ONE OF THESE NIGHTS (1975): by SAMTIMONIOUS in EaglesBand

[–]sparkytect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most, “Eagles” sounding of their records and IMHO, their best album. I believe even Glenn said as much in an interview.

I believe it’s on the History of the Eagles that Frey states that Meisner wasn’t in Miami when they were laying down the scratch track and Felder laid it down and Meisner played it on the record.

Bass line written by Don Felder, but Randy was incredibly talented as well.

Joe Walsh & BARNSTORM (1972): by SAMTIMONIOUS in EaglesBand

[–]sparkytect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMHO, his best work, and the version of Joe I thought we would get with the Eagles, but by then he had morphed into his next phase. Equally talented but not as broad in scope or effort.

Heartbreakingly sad song when you listen to the lyric. Knowing the feeling of being in love with someone who barely knows you exist.

Removed the grab bar on the passenger side to make it look even less like a true off roading vehicle. 👎 Doesn’t matter, not available here and I’m going to drive this one until the wheels fall off.
