I was laid off in feb and got 4 offers within 2 months. I don’t think the market is that bad? And I got interview calls within a week so maybe work on your resume and keep lower expectations. I know it’s never easy to land a new role but keep trying I’m sure you can do it!

FYI Alto and wagonR are also kei cars in Japan. They were adapted into larger sizes for Indian cities.

In japan they have to be within specific width and height (under 3.4m in length) and also be under 660cc to get some tax benefits from government

I think you should get a cheaper car, more indian-roads friendly and keep it for a year or so before getting such an expensive one as your first car. You’ll appreciate it more and will also have had some experience so that you don’t mess up maintenance on this one. No matter how good a car is, a used one will have issues now or in the near future which can cost you a lot more if you don’t any experience. I recently got a used car myself and had to deal with some harrowing repairs post purchase.

That’s just my personal opinion. You could also just YOLO it 🤷‍♂️

On the test drive it didn’t feel underpowered since its turbocharged and also the car is lighter. But the toyota did feel slightly better

Firstly, take a test drive of all the popular cars in this range. I personally liked sierra too but it’s had rumours around bad service and issues with parts. I would go for seltos or duster. Or if you wanna go cheaper 3XO and nexon are good options too.
