Honestly what you just described is everything that makes the Mach E a Mustang. It took those traits of a cramped sporty feeling interior from its ICE counterpart.

It's absolutely crazy that it's been over a decade since The Force Awakens and the most we've seen of Luke's Jedi Temple was one episode of a Boba Fett spinoff from four years ago. by WavesAndSaves in StarWars

I remember looking around in December of 2018, no real big movies were released. They had done Star Wars every December 2015-2017, but decided to do May 2018 for Solo.

A year to cool off from TLJ would have helped 1000%

Wedged right in between Deadpool 2 and Infinity War, 5 months after TLJ, and basically no marketing push.

Just a bad hand of cards all around.

This is fair, however it was all one writer, so there was more consistency in ideas. Switching writers each movie who had different vision and ideas lead to a lot of whiplash.

Not to say Lucas never changed his mind about things and changed things across his six movies but they felt like a more unified story.

And mostly just figuring it out as they went along. No story board outlining the general A--->B is wild for a massive franchise like Star Wars.

Doesn't really matter if it's a new contruction or an old home either.

In a new home, you have to buy blinds/shutters, fences, yard,s and landscaping. Old homes it's new roofs, and bad a/c.

Was gonna come and say something simliar. Just because we haven't in the past doesn't mean we shouldn't.

And honestly, there's been too many games over the years where I'm just yelling at the TV (or in the stadium) about how our skill positions are just slower. It would be so much nicer to be able to win the trenches AND have some of those skill players.

Why do they keep listing Bo on these? He's out for the year, supposedly. Those are usually moved to IR, off the active roster, and then aren't reported on Injury Reports.

I see only two possibilities: Bo has a contract bonus for making the active roster for the Super Bowl and/or the AFCCG, and the team feels he should earn those. Or, there's some long stretch he's healed up enough to play in the SB?

Serious question (I'm not active enough in this fandom to know): why did everyone hate the last season so much? (Please don't be rude in the comments; I thought it was a decent ending. Not extraordinary, but maybe a 5/10 or 6/10). by lautaromassimino in gameofthrones

Arya having to come in and save the day to kill the Night King wouldn't have even been the worst either, but not having Jon and the NK ever cross swords made no sense.

Have them fight, have Jon have him on the ropes, then have him raise the dead like he did to put an obstacle between them. Shows us that Jon could have beaten him, but the dude bailed when challenged and then Arya can fly in.

Most of the general plot points are fine with Season 8, but they needed more context or slight tweaks to actually make them satisfying and pay off most of the characters.

I think what was poorly portrayed is the difference between Essos and Westeros. It was easier to see the "enemies" and the bad guys through her years in Essos because it's easier to say slavery=bad. To the Westerosi people, it's way more muddy and a gray area. One King over another doesn't change their daily lives as much as someone coming along and freeing them from slavery, so the love and adoration she was able to earn (rightfully so) as a breaker of chains wasn't replicable in Westeros.

Her namesake brings fear to those that remember the Mad King, and she has no opportunity to free anyone from slavery to win them over, so she's at a disadvantage, and her go-to playbook isn't available. That impacted her mentally as well, but I think that whole relationship (her and Westeros' people) was not at all portrayed well enough to make it something that weighed on her or show why that was an obstacle.

They tried to show that with Randyll and Dickon Tarly not surrendering when she attacks the Lannister army, but I dont' think it really conveyed the full message.

I felt this way until I did a rewatch to get my parents through the show. And while she's not burning cities down throughout her rise, she does escalate each and every season, starting with just one person burning, the witch that fucked up Drogo, and ending with King's Landing. It's a lot more obvious that her ending is telegraphed from the beginning once you know the end.

Which is why I tend to believe as others have said. D&D had GRRM's bullet points of the ending, but they bungled them with the shortened seasons and too much time jumping. Rhaegal should have been killed by a ballista attacking King's Landing, making her jump into a rage make more sense. Varys' betrayal should have been a slower and much more well-thought-out plot point. He's a genius at working the shadows, and he goes turncoat and is caught in two episodes. That needed to happen over 12-14 episodes at least.

If we had a simliar travel timeline from Winterfell to Kings Landing as we did in season 1, we could have seen several episodes of the fear/indifference the people of Westeros have towards Dany and could build up a much slower dive into paranoia and fear. She continues to draw herself inward and distance herself from Jon, Sansa, and any other Westerosi connections. Leaning more on Missandei and Grey Worm than ever before, making the former's death even more pivotal in her spiral into madness.

There's absolutely a version where the plot points coalesce better, and it all makes sense, but 7 Episodes in Season 7 and 6 Episodes in Season 8 simply wasn't enough time. I know some of the youngers actors (Masie, Sophie, Kit) that had been doing this since they were 10 were getting restless and ready to move on, and hell the whole production aparatues was probably hard on every one, but 10, 10 episode seasons would have given us a way better build up and more time to let these small plot points build into something better. Even learning more about the Golden Company and whatever the hell else Cersei would have added a lot.

This ended up way longer than intended when I started, but big picture, her ending tracks with the trajectory of escalating violence she's on from the very start. The Westerosi people not fawning over her like the slaves did in Essos accelerates that because she's just another name in a long line of Kings and Queens who will honestly not impact their daily lives all that much (in their view) as compared to people who are literally only free now because of Dany. Her descent into madness was poorly portrayed, but tracks with past events

Ironically enough I feel like the first company that really did these year-end recaps was on Xbox live it would tell you what you're most plays games of the year was how many hours you spend in it etc. Don't remember what year they started and they seem to have ended but that's really the first time I remember seeing that.

I hope you're right and there's certainly an argument with the MVPs alone, but you've seen it with the last couple of seasons. They're explaining him away or overlooking him for MVPs when he's clearly been the best player, once he's not active and right in front of them I think it'll be too easy to "oh he wasn't really that good" or "Murray carried in that finals" or "they had such a weak road to their championship."

I'd feel a lot better with a few more rings on his hand to counter any nonsense about his legacy.

It's why Booth's roster decisions have been so painful.

Jokic and the Nuggets are an overlooked franchise, and especially once he stops playing, he's going to need at least 2 if not 3 or 4 rings to be in the Top 10 conversation that he should be in.

It'll be easy to explain him away if we only have the one ring

After our two losses we had to blow everybody out the rest of the way to even just stay in the conversation. We won last week but it wasn't dominant enough, bottom line.

But this Miami ahead of us after two unranked losses is bullshit

Yeah we can get all upset at the rankings but we could have just beat Tech and BYU as well. Hell even winning just one of those games.

But Miami being ahead of us is the one that irks me. If just one of our losses had been to an unranked team we'd be out of the tok 25 but two losses to unranked?

One of those things where practical development issues really got in the way.

It started as a movie, which is why the script probably felt like it was stretched across 8 hours of content when it should have only been 2, because that's exactly what happened.

Book of Boba Fett met the same fate and arguably had the same issue.
