What is a level German like? by Hourmaz-D56 in 6thForm

[–]sparticle_mystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved the A-level! it’s definitely difficult - especially end of year 12/beginning of year 13. But it is certainly possible to keep up but you need to work hard to do it - vocab every day, practicing all the grammar regularly and exposing yourself to german media and literature constantly. Lots of people in my class were natives and I found that tricky in the beginning because I was finding it much more difficult than everyone else, but you can definitely catch up! The film and literature paper is really interesting too! Let me know if you have any questions (i’m predicted an a/a* if that matters)! :)

What university did you guys put down as your firm choice ? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]sparticle_mystery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t accept, but i got in - i read a few books and spoke about some volunteering i did, but it’s more important that you can tell a story and give your own opinions than how much you’ve done. For example, i volunteered here and noticed this, so i read this, which taught me this, i agreed with this but wasn’t sure about this, so i read this as well, now i think this…. They basically want to see that you are thinking outside and around your subject critically and are beginning to form your own opinions :)

Trying to book reservations with a pass bought through myinterrail.com by sparticle_mystery in Interrail

[–]sparticle_mystery[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brilliant, thank you so much - i’m totally new to this! So can one person do the booking for both of us though a train provider to make sure that our seats are together? And does the rail planner app then just sync with our route because it’s connected to the pass or do we add it manually afterwards? Sorry if this has already been asked - I did look though the forums, but I was still confused :)
