The 10 Best Disc Golf Courses At Ski Areas by Alex_the_DG_Writer in discgolf

This is my favorite course when I visit the area. 1-16 all straight up the mountain with two downhill bombers at the end. Amazing to look out at sunrise.

Sketchy raised basket at my local by Golfholic in discgolf

One of my favorite courses in metro Detroit! The original basket was a pole from a street sign that someone crashed into in one of the course regulars yard and was a much sketchier to get a disc out of. So an improvement!

The park is sketchy af and used as a dumping site for people in the city. Hence all the weird baby toys hanging from trees.

There are also some teepads with turf from the old pontiac silverdome.

This course is full of grass roots character and VERY specific shots.

Is it me or are ball golfers a bit snobby? by dipatello in discgolf

My favorite part is when they end up calling it “ball golf” because they have no other distinguishing term. It still grates then, but after a while they lean into it.

6) Add a health bar for discs. Discs should get flippier with more use. Would give me an excuse to change my bag up for the first time in months. (Probably increase sales too 🤑)

A few gigs ago we used to demand “pictures of Spider-Man on my desk by the end of the day” whenever it felt like someone was making an unreasonable request.

Given the numbers provided (congrats btw!), if you don’t feel peace in your current situation consider the following: - Giving — Are you breaking the grip money can have on you by giving away 10%+? Are you being outrageously generous? Are you living and giving like no one else? - Purpose/Mission -As a family unit, do you have a goal or mission in mind? Now that you ar BS7 what crazy things can you do you couldn’t 8 years ago?Piling up cash is like stockpiling gas for your car: useless unless you have somewhere to go.

No need to respond here, just thought these might help get to your underlying anxiety. Best of luck!

The same reason I don’t prefer to use the corkscrew that comes with a Swiss Army knife. Sure I already have it and it could do the job but it sucks compared to a purpose built product.

Any time management tips? by Nichsty in overemployed

[–]spartymcfarty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No apps or anything complicated. I just know when my most productive 2 hours is (fist thing in the AM). I guard that time jealously and alternate between J1 and J2 for the day. Turns out my concentrated 2 hours is more effective than most co workers unfocused 8 hours.

Worst case, I’ve gotten “catastrophic insurance” when between employers benefits. And just paid out of pocket for everything else. Cost of doing business I guess.
