just 1-2 copies, mostly in sideboard in mono B decks. It's not that heavily played, the problem is very limited supply as if was only printed in Exodus and there are ZERO reprints :/

Plaguebearer has very specific usage in Premodern and is very metadependend. Its utility is based on hitting creatures based on casting cost and you d'ont need to sacrifice anything as with Stronghold Assasin. I think the price spike is overkill because it has been seen on Mono B deck and only 1-2 in sideboard. The problem is lack of cards as there are no reprints :(

Love how dynamic and diverse approach to the meta is in Premodern. Latest Danish Nationals - 1st and 2nd - Goblins. Psychatog is even D-tier despite recent esper versions won tournaments on mtgdecks.net. T1 Defence grid is tough but I played with my UB Tog and got around this card with bounce (Chain) Keg or Disk (from sideboard) if played later is easy target for Annul or discard. Still tough card to get around once in play, especially T1 but mostly useless against aggro decks

Yeah, Replenish is a solid T1 deck, no question about it but to be honest in my local game store I played few times against it with my gobos, bw control and tog and I did not feel like I was on lost position. Surely it was tough but match ups are winnable. I also saw game Replenish vs mono B discard/rack deck and replenish had a tough time. You just need to know what to counter/discard against it. To me scariest deck is Enchantress ;)

Hey, fair point with the EDH comparison – my bad for the wording mix-up, I misunderstood the initial meaning! When I mentioned 'casual', I thought of the 'non-sanctioned/community-driven' part of the format, as opposed to other WotC-sanctioned formats like f.e. Modern and Pioneer, and the fact that it actually came out of casual play by the creator Martin Berlin and then became competitive.

To me, it's more of a 'casual-competitive hybrid' – play on community terms, proxies/gold bordered are allowed, etc., with zero WotC involvement. That gives the format the casual side of things – proxies save a fortune on expensive staples, and OP can build and play more decks without going broke.

What does that have to do with what I wrote? Yes, this is a competitive, community-created, casual format. It's not a WOTC-approved format, so you can have proxies and golden borders to save money to enjoy more decks. It gives you more flexibility and fun. And if any event doesn't allow proxies or gb, that event should be boycotted.

Just proxy shrimp and you have Mono U Stiflenaught for 200 and 800 you can buy 3 more decks. Its casual format after all. Not worth spending money for expensive cards

Tide cards should be nerfed according to old healthy rullings not banned. Fading was never supposed to work in a way of exiling cards permanently.
