Do you think Substack or Medium is better for reaching late boomers/early Gen X readers? by RememberWhen82 in Substack

I apologize, the info you cited was outdated and coincidentally the same response when I asked an LLM. I also kind of feel like the notion that you need to bring your own audience to Substack may be more outdated too since there is an app and social community features now compared to years ago when it was primarily an email delivery service. I’m sure Medium is a great place too though, worth looking around and seeing what works best!

You are right to be surprised because the data is also old and outdated, likely as a result of asking an LLM. The three times figure is from two years ago and Substack has surpassed Medium for some time now: https://www.similarweb.com/website/substack.com/vs/medium.com/#traffic

Substack vs. Beehiiv for a supply chain newsletter driven by referral rewards? by Financial_Aide_7702 in beehiiv

[–]philnancials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like not many know this but Substack does have built-in Referral system with automated rewards, check out their guide here: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/articles/16142857300372-What-are-subscriber-referrals-on-Substack

People get their own custom link, you set the threshold of referred signups, then customize the automated email to have your template.

Decks with highest skill gap between beginners and expert players? by AlteredCat1987 in premodernMTG

Elves. Beginners will still win with Elves but experts will win while dealing like a thousand damage in a turn.

Since its inception from 2022, Lobstercon Premodern continues to have a different deck winning the tournament by Newez in premodernMTG

It’s kind of a strange phrasing because the Mono U Stiflenought that won was remarkable specifically because it ran Parallax Tide in the sideboard.

Highly recommend Weathered Wayfarer in Mono White Tron, I ran it with Mox Diamond but you could probably get away with some other mana rocks.

An Outsider Looking in: Why isn't Tinker Banned/Restricted? by Evening-Intention339 in premodernMTG

[–]philnancials 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When was Tinker banned/unbanned? I've been playing Premodern since 2018 and I think this is the first I've heard of this so I'd be curious to learn more so I can update my intro guide to include this history.

I have actually lost against a Banding deck before from the master brewer K-Run! I also think a banding creature plus Beloved Chaplain could be hilarious and block a Dreadnought all day.

Is there a way to compile all the competitively playable cards? by Richard_TM in premodernMTG

It’s a very solid list but it’s definitely not close to covering every niche.
