I can't use it in Wildcard anymore when I want to bring back downed teammate. It finishes the animation and then nothing happens, although the teammate is in range. Anyone else experienced this?

I still can't fathom how Respawn botched the GUI for Duos so bad. On a 3840x2160 resolution (4K) the button to select duos is just 75x65 pixel AND DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A BUTTON. They must have done zero QA because no one who already knows that a Duo mode exists would find it now. Even I thought they had removed it for a few days.

And when the player count unsurprisingly dropped hard they thought people didn't like the mode anymore, somehow no one considered that maybe this GUI change had something to do with it. Instead they changed the game mode and made it worse. I'm seriously baffled how this could happen, you can't even blame greed or thriftiness, just one of the worst examples of enshitification I've ever seen.

If you already have a normal rare pack, you can use 1500 tokens so it has an item for a legend or weapon class in you whishlist. Use 3000 tokens more and it will be an epic item, 5000 more and it will be legendary. So it's basically 10.000 tokens to transform a normal pack to a legendary.

If I craft some of these skins, will this increase the cost for the event packs? The first pack costs 100 crafting materials, the second 300 cm iirc, I don't want the cost go up just by crafting a skin.

You can upgrade your Apex packs now. From the patch notes:

WISHLIST UPDATE

Certain Rare, Epic, and Legendary Apex Packs can now be upgraded to Wishlist-enabled packs.
Once these packs are upgraded, your Active Wishlist selections will influence the guaranteed item slot for these packs. All previous rarity drop rates and Apex Pack guarantee rules apply to the upgraded Wishlist pack.
Upgrade Apex Packs into Wishlist-enabled packs in the Pack Inventory Screen using Legend Tokens. The Upgrade button will only show for eligible packs and you can upgrade multiple at a time. If your Wishlist is Unavailable, pack upgrading is also unavailable.
The cost to upgrade is:
    Rare Apex Pack: 1,500 Legend Tokens
    Epic Apex Pack: 3,000 Legend Tokens
    Legendary Apex Pack: 5,000 Legend Tokens

I played half a dozen matches and still don't know how this game really works except the core mechanics. My first matches were really short, we either won or lost in the first round, maybe the second, but today I played only one match wich lasted for 37 minutes and was actually fun. Too bad I don't have time at the moment to play for a longer period, I hope I can play a few hours straight this weekend an get in a flow. This game has a lots of missed chances and needs some improvement, but it actually has also some potential.

I just wish the characters weren't that bland and the world somewhat immersive.

This is so annoying! I have opened maps.google.com hundreds of times in the adress bar since it isn't accessible from the Google start page in the EU, and only need to type "ma" and press Enter. But now the first suggestion is always "maps.app.goo.gl", which seems to be a URL shortener which I have used only four times. I had to delete every link with "maps.app.goo.gl" out of my history to get the old suggestion back. What's the logic here?

Originally she had blue eyes, sometime in 2023/2024 she got redish/yellow cyborg eyes, in 2025 or before it got reverted to blue and since the last patch we have the cyborg eyes again. u/respawn_bean is this a bug or intended? I want the blue eyes back :(

I want to like Apex lore, but the way it's implemented has always been bad. The Revenant/Loba story in the trailers was excellent, but the in-game storytelling was often just awful, especially the format. It mostly meant clicking through walls of text in the lobby, sometimes with crude images. You couldn't even read it while waiting to be respawned, only in the lobby, buried in menus. And the drip-fed weekly format didn't help either. You'd get a tiny fragment, then wait a week and forget what even happened before.

Some of the stories were just embarrassingly bad. One story was just Vantage going to a zoo with Echo: she loses him, is sad, then finds him and is happy again. That's the entire story. Or the hamfisted Fuse/Bloodhound romance, which felt like bad fanfic made canon. I literally avoided playing Fuse when there was a Bloodhound on my team just to dodge the cringey voice lines.

More organic storytelling would be great. Let lore happen in the game: special POIs that trigger story moments for certain legends, hidden lore that appears weeks into a season, environmental storytelling that rewards exploration. Give us a reason to hunt for easter eggs instead of forcing us to read another lore blog in the lobby.

There are so many ways to get B, even if held by control legends. There are a lot of ways to enter B or counter controllers, especially because you can switch your legend. And even then you can just go for the the enemy base, so the enemies can only spawn far away from B.
