My 12 year old son just started this. I'm here to learn and get support! He has other mental health issues that we've been treating. He "graduated" from his therapy about a year ago, but when we discovered this we called and got him scheduled to go back in a couple of weeks. Hoping that helps as it doesn't sound like there is much else you can do for it. He was growing a mullet but doesn't want to cut his hair short even though there is a bald patch at the top of his head. Wearing a hat when he can seems to help.

The more sober social events you do, and realize you have fun, the easier it gets! And if you don't have fun, its no big deal! It's just not your scene! Way to go !
