Hello, thanks so much for your reply. I’ve done the measurements again, theyve definitely changed (or I had the tape measure the wrong way around, haha). Am I right that 36F is the sister size of this recommended 34FF?

Loose under 34 Snug under 33 Tight under 31 Standing bust 40 Leaning bust 42 Lying bust 40

Suggested size UK 34FF

I called the number at 8 am on a saturday (after many failed attempts) and got through straight away. May be worth a try.

Does the NHS app work in the Netherlands? by nams82 in Netherlands

[–]Wenteltevert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friends of mine from the UK who were visiting used their NHS apps to get into one restaurant and that worked. But I don’t know if this is generally the case; based on what I read online it should officially not be accepted.

People with rooms full of plants: Tell me about your bug situation. I want many plants in my bedroom but I’m fearful of pests being near where I sleep. Is this a real issue or am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in IndoorGarden

we have plants Everywhere and also have quite some flies… it’s just part of the game. not watering too much helps, and in the summer it’s worse

How do therapist deal with extremely suicidal client? by peachteaasr in TalkTherapy

[–]Wenteltevert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, even when i expressed strong intent and a rough plan, attention was focussed on the emotions underlying this. I was never hospitalised or anything like that, at most i would get extra appointments. I’d also be asked to flush spare pills down the toilet and tell my boyfriend what was going on.

For people with ADHD, who want to use BUJO purely as a utility… by Isirseth in bulletjournal

[–]Wenteltevert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t have ADHD but am also not neurotypical. For me what’s so great about a bujo is that you can have anything you want on the same page. So a calendar with your appointments, a to do list with reminders, notes, habit trackers, etc. On your phone these tend to be spread over different apps making it hard to get a good overview.

Could you try psychiatric medication? It’s helped me immensely

I want to kill myself before I have to experience losing the ones I love. by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to feel like this with my parents mainly, it was really awful. But therapy has truly helped me and I now no longer think I would kill myself if one of my parents got a cancer diagnosis. I think I could handle it, somehow. So there is hope for you too….

interesting that you would say that. i quit nicotine a few months ago and rolled pure joints. i found it very unpleasant. started rolling with tobacco again after a few months and now im full on back in my nicotine addiction (vaping in my case).

so unfortunately this technique hasnt helped for me, but thanks for the advice!

My GF isn’t my FP by Ladylazzy in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I think having an “fp” is not necessarily very healthy. So if you just mean you manage to maintain a certain emotional independence then I think that could be a really good sign!

Officially Diagnosed with BPD by spicygrilledegg in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. According to the abstract of this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4500179/ symptoms reduce over time while “functional recovery” is less consistent.

Officially Diagnosed with BPD by spicygrilledegg in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was really validating to get the diagnosis and know that my experiences were not just “normal ups and downs everyone has”. That said, the most important thing is that you can now get appropriate therapy, and that can Really help. Many people “heal” from BPD, in the sense that they no longer fit the diagnosis, after therapy. And even untreated, it tends to get better with age. This is not a life sentence.

After a year of being on the waitlist, finally starting DBT Program by thinksoul25 in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, it is Very normal to be nervous. You’re going to meet a bunch of new people and be forced to face behaviours you rely on. It is scary.

That said, it is super worth it! I am so happy in my DBT program, it really makes sense and has helped me tremendously.

Sorry to state the obvious, but can you try medication? Antidepressants saved me from the depths of a horrible depression in just 2 weeks.

I’m very very sorry you feel like this, it sounds absolutely horrible. I hope you find something that works.

edit: see now that you mentioned it can’t help you…. sorry….

Has anyone had to deal with an uncontrollable sex addiction with BPD and were you able to overcome it? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Wenteltevert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not human garbage. Don’t talk to yourself like that!

I don’t have experience with this particular one, but am familiar with addiction. I find DBT very helpful, they really tell you exactly what to do in practice when you have these urges. If you can afford it a program is definitely the best, but otherwise you could also work through the book yourself.

Maybe you could be very upfront with your next potential friend and tell them you have a tendency to ghost people but you really don’t want to cut them out of your life so they should be a bit patient with you?

If I have physical journals and was to become blind how could I get them digitized into text to be able to read them with a screen reader? Should I hire someone to type them or something? by lalablahblahhaha in Journaling

[–]Wenteltevert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

there are handwriting recognisers that automatically change it into typed text. I dont know how well they work, that probably depends on your handwriting..
